Like pp's have said if your doctor isn't worried you shouldn't be. I have HG and wasn't diagnosed with it (and my doctor wasn't too concerned) until I lost weight in the double digits and it continued to go down. Weight loss at first is pretty normal.
I lost 8 pounds in the first trimester and didn't really start gaining weight until around 16/17 weeks....I'm 24+5 weeks with twins so I was really nervous but I finally started gaining. I have another friend who is almost 19 weeks and she hasn't really gained much at all. On the opposite end I have another friend who started gaining very early. Everyone is different so like PP's have said everyone is different but as long as your dr is ok with it it's probably ok!
I'm 16 weeks and haven't gained any weight yet. My doctor and nurse aren't concerned. I think a lot of women lose a little weight in the first trimester because it's hard to eat things and your appetite changes.
I am down roughly 12 lbs since I got pregnant. At my 16 week check up my doctor said to make sure I'm eating well and getting in my prenatal but that she would give me until 20 weeks to start going up.
My situation may not be the same as yours. My doctor checked the baby and said they seem to be growing on target before deciding my loss wasn't something to be concerned about quite yet. Don't assume that because other people's doctors weren't concerned that you're in the clear. Only your doctor can examine you and determine if the loss is something to be worried about.
I'm overweight and I've lost close to 9 lbs 3 I the last month and I'm 15 weeks now. Trust your dr they will let you know if you should be concerned or not. If you are like me and I had stuff to lose already continuing my workouts and healthy eating continues to promote weight loss but I'm sure pretty soon baby will start catching up
I am 24 weeks and have gained 4 lbs. I was overweight before I got pregnant so it wasn't a concern. It's normal to lose, especially if you have morning sickness.
Re: Weight.
This is something you should be asking your doctor.
