  • Yes!!

Eva Grace is pretty. I also quite like Eva Claire.

  • I like Eva but with Ava being so popular (esp Ava Grace) she might just end up lost in the sea of Avas and spend a lot of time correcting people.

    Exactly this

    Me (31) & DH (32)

    DD Born 6/23/16

  • They are two different names I don't think people will confuse them at all.
  • I love Eva!

  • I don't get the Eva/Ava confusion. They are different names with a distinct different sound. I could see how that may come into play if you were pronouncing it Ehv-ah, opposed to EE-Vah.

My name is one vowel sound off of another name (similar to Eva/Ava).  There were 3 girls in my grade with that other name.  I was constantly called by their name (and my name was constantly misspelled as their name).  Should not have been that difficult for teachers, coaches, parents, etc., to get it right, but it seemingly was.  Sometimes people are just dumb.

ETA: The point of my post wasn't to tell the OP not to name her kid Eva.  It was to point out that there might be confusion with the name in a way that she's not expecting.  I'm willing to bet that my mom didn't think my classic, unpopular first name would've been repeatedly mispronounced and misspelled due to people who all named their kids a more "trendy" name that year.

I hear what you're saying. I have intensive personal experience with this one though, because my name actually is Eva (pronounced EE-vah). I have absolutely had to correct some people over the years, but for the most part, people seemed to get it. The movie Wall-E really helped bring my pronunciation more mainstream.
  • Eva Grace is boring to me. They are both so popular. I do really like Eva though but maybe with different mn.
