Baby wearers, especially ergobaby

Can you post a picture of your LO in it? Specifically the legs. I feel like I'm putting her in wrong and it's uncomfortable for her. She doesn't cry or anything, in fact she usually just passed out but I just want to make sure I have her in there properly. I have the ergobaby, I think 360? Thanks!

  • Do you use the infant pad/insert depending on your lo's size?

You want the knees higher than the rump for lo's hip health. (Esp for the first few months the ergo and moby/wrap hug hold are good for this compared to the bjorn and others that allow babies legs to dangle). I googled and watched a lot of videos before I got it right. The way I make sure her legs are correct is I place her in the infant insert (dont do the snap across the front since it messes up her leg position) and I bring the insert +baby to my belly...belly to belly. Then I proceed to lift the ergo over her back and make certain the insert is shoved way back into the ergo. Once the whole device is in place I ensure the infant insert fabric/base is brought up to the crease behind babies knees.
  • My little one has outgrown the insert, but we still use the padded seat part to keep her higher. You was to do what @smnewby said. To picture it, make an M with your baby's legs. Their butt should be lower than the knees.
  • Thanks.. It sounds like I've been doing it right but I'm gonna look up vids on YouTube to make sure.. She's too big for the infant insert so we never got that. Thanks again!
  • Np. There is a learning curve but well worth it. She takes nice long naps in there better than anywhere else! Totally worth the hassle!
