Exersaucer

Does anyone have any experience with an Exersaucer ? My baby is 12 weeks- has excellent head control and has been in her jolly jumper since 9 weeks.... Thinking an Exersaucer will be my next purchase! Any great ones out there? I feel like there's a lot of options ,I'd like one that plays music, and lots of toys. One that grows with baby? Space isn't a concern. And price- might be buying 2nd hand so can be expensive.

Thanks for any suggestions!!

Re: Exersaucer

  • I was thinking the same for my 3 month old. I saw on target that it's recommended for 4+ month though. So I think I'm waiting another month. I went to a consignment shop today and they had one there and my sons feet couldn't reach the bottom.

  • My parents got our little guy one for Christmas. He will be 3 months on the 18rh and that's when I plan to start using it. He has amazing head control and all he wants to do is stand up. The one my parents got us can be for tummy time, and exer saucer and then when they walk comes apart to be walk around toys. It's really cool.
  • We got the Fisher price rainforest friends jumperoo. Super cute! On Springs so they can jump and bounce, the seat also spins all the way around so they can play with all the attached toys. Does take up a bit of space but they all do. I might be a bad mom for doing this, but I've put LO in it a few times! I just roll up a blanket and put in front of his tummy to fill the seat space better. He loves the standing feeling and I just slightly bounce it for him while he looks around and tries to grab the toys. Something new for him I guess! Good luck!
  • I've been looking at this Fisher price step n play piano. It grows with them. Baby already has a walker and jumparoo so it's hard to justify the purchase. Plus it's expensive and from what I can tell pretty new so I probably won't be able to buy second hand. But it looks so cool, I want it lol. I don't plan on putting LO in these types of toys until 4 months tho.

  • We have a little einsteins. I think they're all pretty similar though. Just get one with toys you like :) If they have good trunk control, but can't touch the bottom, you can put books under their feet. Also, if the seat is a little big, you can wrap a rolled up blanket/towel around their waist. It's fun when they can start to play with these.

  • My mom got LO the Jam Session Exersaucer for Christmas. It's got great ratings everywhere I've looked. She'll be 12 weeks this coming week, and has good head control, but still bobbles a little. I'm not totally comfortable putting her in there yet, it's recommended 4 months and up. I'll wait a couple more weeks, at least.
