Hi,
I am writing an article for a Journalism class and I am looking for moms who CHOSE to give up custody of their child to their childs father, and are the weekend/summer parent.
For reasons like you had to move to another state for a job or were remarried and your husband had to move (work or military). Or maybe you had a long term job opportunity that meant you couldn't take your child or you just knew that the father or him and new spouse could provide more?
What are some things that you have had questioned about your choice? how do you defend it? How do you parent/co-parent long distance? Would you chose differently if you had to again? do people talk down/bad about your choice to be a non-custodial mom?
