Hemorrhoids. What THE HELL? I thought they would be gone by now. Seriously, go away already. Ugh... Anyone else still dealing with this lovely pregnancy side effect postpartum?
Me! I hate them! I don't know what to do about them either. All creams say not to use when breastfeeding. I used the treatment you insert, but they made no difference. It's awful :-(
Didn't know that about the creams! So glad you said that. Do you know why you aren't supposed to use them? I am BF but wouldn't have even thought to look. I haven't been using anything because they seemed to be a little better (but definitely not gone) for a while, but now they're back in full force again. I'm just so over them. Not sure what else to do.
Not too sure what it is exactly, but there is some ingredient in them that is not good when BF. I tried which hazel water and gel, but they don't help much either. I know in extreme cases they can be surgically removed, but who wants that!
The things people don't tell you before you get pregnant, lol. I hope the go away soon. My doctor said to use preparation h, I've been using sporadic so not really seeing a change, I notice if I gave easy bm in a row and use the prep h they start to shrink but then I'll have a difficult bm and back to square 1. Need to do a good week of stool softener and prep h to see if I get them to shrink. So ready to see them go already!
Aw that's awful! I still have them, but they aren't painful. When I was preggo preparation h did nothing for me! I used Baby Moma Bottom Balm (found on Amazon- all natural) and witch hazel. Sitz baths or tub baths with Epsom salt helped. Don't sit for long periods of time and use Vaseline with BMs. Avoid soda and drink tons of water. Hope that helps!
I got a big sucker from pushing out LO. It was soooo disgusting I was so grossed out by myself haha. Keep up with the stool softeners!!! I hope you find relief soon!
Do you guys use softener while BF? This also was something I looked into, as I thought I should try if it helps, but all softeners said to not use while nursing. I think because it gets into the milk and affect baby's bowel movements, too.

Oh, I have no idea! I'm a formula feeder from Day 1 for selfish reasons like wanting to do/take whatever I want for my body such as stool softeners and copious amounts of wine on really rough days. Nevermind my suggestion!

I used a prescription stool softener when I had my daughter (prescribed by my delivery Doctor) and was recommended to use colace if needed this time. I found laying instead of sitting helped mine not be as painful
Witch hazel pads and prepH never worked for me... it would ease the discomfort but never made them go away. So I took a hot bath with epsom salt and they went away the next day.
When I delivered my Ob said anything that was safe during pregnancy is pretty much safe while nursing. So stool softener should be okay. You can always call your Dr to check though! A lot of times they put stuff like that on labels just for liability reasons when it's actually safe to take.
