Wait, isn't the point of the UO thread that it's unpopular? Halos are popular so no worries that a few aren't fans, y'all. be glad we don't all like it.
I told DH solitaire only for me. I wanted something I could hand down that wouldn't be tied to a specific point in time like the halo. Plus, I figure, 1 guy 1 diamond, both should be of outstanding quality.
*lurking from July* Don't hate the halo I love mine my husband picked it out mine is classy and I my wedding band came with it so it fits personally. And no I don't find them gawdy or like costume jewelry and in most cases they aren't huge because the center stone isn't as large and for a couple on a limited income it made him feel like he was able to give me more since we couldn't afford a bigger ring. Just seems unnecessarily judgy...
It's just an opinion, an unpopular one for some (which, given the thread title is kind of expected). I'm not a fan of them. They do look a little costume-y to me and seem super trendy right now. No need to get upset that someone else doesn't like your ring. It isn't everyone's style and with how prevalent they are today it can get a little old seeing something so similar again and again which is what the original post against them was for. In the end, if you like your ring, that's all that matters!
Hmm I thought I was allowed to share my opinion here too but I guess not... Also I wasn't upset just Sharing my opinion and giving the halo some love after seeing a lot of negative comments about it. But weird how I say I don't find them costume my or gawdy you felt the need to reiterate that you do. Trends come and go how often are people constantly looking at other peoples hands? Not often I would say.
Do you know what rings I don't like? The rose gold rings. Totally a personally opinion but I'm not a huge gold fan and adding a pink tint to it just isn't my thing at all.

Of course you're welcome to express your opinion, it just came across as REALLY defensive and you did call a big part of those involved in the discussion in unnecessarily judgy. They don't like the look, it isn't for them, that's okay. You like the look and like your ring, that's okay too. There's ways to give the design some love without calling everyone else judgey for expressing their differing opinion.
@PressLove@CourtJack The women in this world I consider my closest friends I met on my first bump board. We live across the country but fire round to see each other. I've never met more amazing women in my life. It was not weird at all to meet in person, as much as I was afraid it was a specially with all the TMI that we share throughout her pregnancy is :-) but I can't imagine my life without these people, they are my rock, they are the family that I would choose if I could, and I imagine that being a part of my life forever.
That being said, I do find it unique :-) but I feel blessed to be a part of it.
Finally, I used Siri to write this post, so I hope it makes sense!
Great story! MY last BMB had birth buddies, someone to report o the group when you gave birth. We texted for a while, but then it fizzled. That was the closest that I came to actually meeting someone.
@Lindsayleigh1989 generally, for this thread if you fall into the popular side of the opinion category, you don't jump on the UOs. You came onto the unpopular opinion thread to defend a popular opinion that wasn't in jeopardy and instructed us not to hate on or be judgy. Of course you can say you love your halo if the majority are agreeing they don't. The whole purpose of the thread is to hate on things that are normally well received. No worries, just don't worry going forward if you see some things you really don't agree with in this thread. That's what it's here for.
