Exaustion!!!!

Im 37 weeks and i cant imagine the nesting instinct is ever going to kick in. So exausted all the time!!

I'm 37+a few and have had VERY LITTLE this time. I'm so exhausted from my toddler that I can't imagine nesting. I'm lucky if I get all of the dinosaurs picked up and cracker crumbs swept under the rugs before I go to bed... anything above and beyond that just seems ridiculous. DS was born at 37+1 and I didn't have things ready at all. I was hoping this baby would come early too so I could use that as an excuse as to why I'm still not ready. However, I have a feeling this one is going to stick around a bit longer...

I just hit 40 weeks today, and I never got the urge. What I described to my husband was "forced labor," where stuff HAD to get done, and I could suck it up and do it, or let my mom criticize me about it when she arrives.
I kind of split the difference. Nursery is set up, and laundry is washed. Christmas decorations and the tree are still out. I don't care. I can barely go to the bathroom at this point.

I delivered at 38 wks and 5days I never nested...
My house is really upset about this, but new mommy me... Doesn't care lol

I have nested like a maniac while also feeling crippling exhaustion and pain. Which basically meant I have irrationally drilled myself into the ground on a regular basis. I'm about done though lol. I cant do it anymore.

I never got to the nesting part until AFTER he came. I did deliver at 34 weeks and was telling people after they asked me how I was feeling that the "nesting" phase is much more enjoyable and manageable without a giant watermelon strapped to the front of me. In all seriousness though, I can't get enough of cleaning the house and tidying up when DS is napping, which is for 2-3 hour increments throughout the entire day. I think it's partly me just needing to keep busy so I don't go insane just sitting at home all day.

38w3d and it hasn't really hit me either. Or the urge did, but the energy hasn't. I ugly cried last night from the kitchen table because I could see things that needed to be dusted and scrubbed but I didn't wanna do it.

Sidenote- SO thinks I'm losing my mind.
