Pregnant after 35

Intro (New and 38 yo)

Hi everyone! My name is Shannon and I'm 38 (soon to turn 39). I have a DS who is 8 and a DD who is 6. I always thought that I wanted a third, but my DH was not on board. This past April, I became unexpectedly pregnant. When I lost the baby to miscarriage, my DH was really disappointed and said that he wanted to try again...so here we are! I have PCOS, so I used Clomid with my DD and became pregnant on my second month of Clomid with this pregnancy. I've kind of forgotten all of the pregnancy rules so I'm happy to have this resource! Can't wait to get to know you all!

No, I totally meant it the way that you read it. J/K :D That is too funny!

  • Just saw you over on the September BMB! ;) I haven't decided how active I want to be over there, but last time I lurked the whole time and regretted it when I later had questions, so I'm dipping my toes in. I feel like this board will probably be my true home. But good to see an after 35 buddy over there :)
  • I completely agree with you...I think I will be much more comfortable with this board, but didn't want to just jump into September BMB in 3 months and have everyone wonder where I came from (not that it would be noticeable...I saw that there were 100 + introductions) ;)
  • Welcome and congrats!  I'm also having my 3rd- nervous but mostly excited. I bet your kids will be great helpers at 6 and 8!
  • @gemini2005 ... My brother and sister in law had a baby 2 years ago and my 8 yo son begged us relentlessly to have a baby. We had to keep telling him that it wasn't going to happen. Now, when he's finally accepted it... We're going to have a baby!
  • @Ssoccerball That's wonderful- he's a lucky kid!  My kids are two and four but can't wait to meet their little sister. I'm slightly terrified but I know we will be okay ha.
