Dilated Kidneys

So two days I had a nurse called me letting me know my Dr wants to repeat a kidney ultrasound regarding my baby kidney dilated I have no clue what is that being doing research trying no to worry or stressed we don't know if its a sure thing we find out Monday. Any Mothers who have experience or experiencing. How did it all turn out this is my second baby and I just don't know what to think just waiting and hoping for the best for my little girl.

I was told my baby boy had mild hydronephrosis at 23w. Doctor wasn't worried, said its common in boys and should resolve by itself. In my case, it was mild though.

It is also a soft marker for Down's, but when in isolation it's much more likely to be Ok. I've had the Panorama test and no Down's.

My son had dilated kidney's when we went in for the anatomy scan at 19w. As the pp said, it is a soft marker for downs so if you have concerns, you can do a cell free DNA test to check for abnormalities. We did MaterniT21 and it came back low risk for all abnormalities. His dilation resolved itself by 23w and he is now a happy, healthy, thriving 19 month old with no kidney issues to date. Best of luck!
