FET Question for 5 day transfer

Hi Ladies,

I have an FET specific question. I am on vivelle patches + PIO (no trigger shot was involved). I'm 3dp5dt (with assisted hatching was done). I've been having a burning sensation in my lower abdomen since the day of transfer, any one experience something similar ? We're worried if its an infection or something ... ? or is this something from progesterone ? any ideas ? TIA!

DH :  36, has Chronic Kidney Disease, on dialysis & is waiting on the transplant list (average wait for B+ is 5 years)

Me:   36, Hypothyroidism, PCOS, BMI 32, need to be done with "child bearing" ASAP so that I can be a Kidney donor (was fun realizing we didn't as much time as we thought :-/ )

We're TTC#1

IUI #1 : 5mcg Letrozole (CD 3-7) + Ovidrel Trigger + Had the one follicle = BFN  (March 2014)

IUI #2 : 5mcg Letrozole (CD 3-7) + 150 iu Bravelle on CD9 (after much begging!) + Had the one follicle = BFN (April 2014)

7th May 2014 - changed REs, this one seems to care (we think....)

IUI #3 : 7mcg Letrozole (CD 3- 7) + 75 iu Bravelle (CD 8-12) + CD12 Scan 5/16 + Had 3 follicles (2 under 15mm) = BFN(May 2014)

IUI #4 : 7mcg Letrozole (CD 3- 7) + 75 iu Bravelle (CD 8-12) + CD12 Scan 5/16 + Had 1 follicle + DH gave best sample so far = BFN(June 2014)

IVF#1 -  ER Only Cycle Sept-Oct 2014, 17  eggs Retrieved, 14 mature, 10 fertilized, 6 made it to Blast & post PGS  5 were not viable due to chromosomal abnormalities
Not sure where we go from here...

We're parents to two very adorable, bratty, affectionate & goofy Bernese Mountain Dog pups who would very much like a 2 legged baby brother or sister of their own!

    I never had any burning from iui, fresh transfer or fet. I highly suggest calling your after hours line and asking them.

    @ddvj79 -I didn't have any "burning" sensations after either my fresh nor frozen transfers. I WAS on progesterone, but did NOT have assisted hatching.
    Wondering how severe the "burning" is... how soon after transfer did you start experiencing it? Is it across your whole lower abdomen, or does it feel like its your uterus? 
    I'd definitely touch base with your RE to discuss.

    Diagnosis: Endometriosis

    • 2012 - 3 Rounds clomid - all BFN
    • 2013 - 1 Fresh IVF with 2 day 3 embryos - BFN
    • 2014 - 1 Frozen IVF with 2 day 5 embryos - BFN
    • Took a long break, continuing trying naturally
    • Feb 2016 - Biopsy = Endo, DH sperm improved from 1% to 6% morphology
    • March 2016 - Fresh IVF cycle with acupuncture & intralipids: 20 eggs retrieved (17 mature), 7 ICSI'd fertilized, 9 naturally fertilized. 16 total embryos!
    • April 8th - 2 embryos (1ICSI and 1 Natural) transferred. (7 blastocysts frozen), April 18th - Beta = BFN
    • Sept 23rd - Lupron Depot Injection for Endo control
    • Nov 15th 2016 - Started daily Lupron Injections for upcoming FET
    • Nov 22 - Baseline US/BW - Intralipid Infusion - Start Meds for FET with immune protocol
    • Dec 16th FET transfer of 3 embryos (1 - AA, 2 - BB)
    • TW below
    • Dec 22nd - first ever bfp (very faint lines FRER & cheapie)
    • Dec 27th Beta = 192, Dec 29th Beta = 379
    • EDD - Sept 5th 2017

    Its mostly my lower abdomen and it does feel like the uterus area is burning too, I'm not the most connected with my body. Thanks, I will email them about this. 

    DH :  36, has Chronic Kidney Disease, on dialysis & is waiting on the transplant list (average wait for B+ is 5 years)

    Me:   36, Hypothyroidism, PCOS, BMI 32, need to be done with "child bearing" ASAP so that I can be a Kidney donor (was fun realizing we didn't as much time as we thought :-/ )

    I'd like to think positively for you and just imagine the little embie is burrowing in extra deep ;)
    For assisted hatching did the use the laser or acid method?

     Interestingly, the burning has gone down a bit after I started resting again. I left a message for the on call RE, hopefully will hear back. My cervix is violently opposed to a speculum & my uterus cramps like hell every time a catheter is involved. I had to take 2 valliums before transfer & one that evening as well...so, I was thinking it might be just that irritation from the procedure but 3 days of it seems a bit much though.

    Ahhh... ya @ddvj79. I've had a couple difficult transfers myself... though not nearly as bad as you it seems. Hope you rest up and feel better soon :)

    Our philosophy was always "call when worried about even the littlest of things, with how much money this is costing us, the doctor will be able to afford a new Benz, so they can answer a stupid question."

    All I can say is that I have had totally different twinges and pangs in my fresh/frozen IVF so I have just learned that there is so much 'normal' out there!  Definitely if any pain, etc is constant then I was told to speak up....

    6/2015 Prep for IVF + ICSI + Assisted hatching
    7/2015 17 high-quality blasts, transferred 1 & froze 16
    8/2015: IVF#1 BFN; prep for FET
    9/2015:  Transferred 2 top grade hatching day 6 blasts
    10/2015:  10dp6dfet 754!! 13dp6dfet 2327!! 15dp6dfet 4919!!
    Present:  TWO heartbeats and all is well!!  G/B TWINS Due Date:  6/16/16
