Baptism Lunch Advice

I'm planning a baptism lunch for my baby in a few weeks and I need help with the menu. I'll have about 30 people at my house, so it will be more casual than formal. The lunch will be around 12:00 so I was thinking of doing a deli tray so they can make their own sandwiches, nothing too heavy. What else would go with sandwiches? What did you do for your baby's baptism?

Should I have favors for them as a thank you for coming?

I'm not planning favors, just a cake. If you're having a deli tray I'd maybe add a veggie tray and some pasta salad? Something nice and light that people can eat standing or sitting.

We had a deli tray with rolls to make sandwiches and also Italian sausage with peppers & onions with rolls to make sandwiches. Then just a cake, no favors.

For DD1 we did a brunch so we had a breakfast casserole, bagels, yogurt, deli/cheese tray, rolls, and potato/past salad. No favors but we had a cake and my mom went overboard with a variety of desserts.

Fruit kabobs with fruit dip, a homemade cheeseball and crackers, and a veggie tray. Sweet tea, lemonade, and water. And the deli tray. All of this can be made ahead.

We kept it casual. Here what i did and i found it to be less stress the day of. We had a hoagie (sub) tray, hot roast beef and meatball sandwiches and baked ziti with macaroni and potato salads and cake.
I made the meatballs a day or two ahead and froze them. Picked up the cake, side salads, and hoagie tray that morning and defrosted the meatballs. Put the meatball n gravy in a crockpot on low and put the au jus gravy in another crockpot on low (dont add the roast beef until ur ready to eat otherwise it gets tough)
When we got back from church i had some chips n dips but the food was ready to eat within minutes.
I didnt do favors but everyone went home with cake. (I had tons of it)
