How are you feeling? Gagged a couple times this morning and DH was worried I was going to throw up in our silverware drawer. Tossed and turned all night from anticipation and I'm still super congested.

Questions? Anyone have any suggestions for hiding overly perky nipples? They've always been noticeable when I'm cold but it's so much worse now that I'm pregnant and even a decent bra, cami, and shirt don't hide them unless it's a patterned or thick top.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Woke up to a very congested nose. I have terrible allergies and I've been taking my Allegra but sometimes I have to add Flonase just to keep them under control. When I looked up Flonase it's a C drug, so I used a netti pot this am in hopes it'll clear me up some.
Questions? When i messaged my dr about taking Flonase she said she's had plenty pregnant ppl take it but that she could send a script in for Rhinocort if I wanted. Has anyone used either of these while pregnant?
GTKY- If you were going to sing karaoke what song would you choose? I always karaoke to Shoop by Salt N Pepa because I know all the words and I love 90s music!
How are you feeling? Good today! I forced down about 1/2 a cup of coffee (it's been making me queasy lately) and it's definitely given me a boost this morning!

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: on the phone with my mom yesterday, she said something about me being "11 or 12 weeks" and I was like "huh??". No idea where she got that number from - I was only 8 weeks when I told her on Friday!!

Questions? I stretched this morning while I was still in bed and had a really sharp pain in my lower right side. No bleeding and I still plan to call my doctor. Could that be RLP? It was really intense for a few seconds but got better after I moved the other way.

How are you feeling? Generally fine -- a bit of nausea and weird sleep, though-- insomnia and vivid dreams!

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Got a spot with the local midwives yesterday, so I am pumped about that. My DD (2.5) is super intuitive and she heard DH and I talking about the midwives last night. We've talked about the baby with DD briefly a few times, but last night she had a huge meltdown about the new baby sleeping in her crib (which she's been out of for several months now). We talked it out and this morning she woke up excited to share her old crib with the new baby. So cute.

This is making me nervous. I have a ton of cramping in my lower back too and it is killing me. I still have an UTI 3 weeks and counting.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I came home yesterday to a package in the mail from my BIL & SIL. They sent us 2 books, one for baby and one for me to use as a journal during the pregnancy with a lovely supportive note! SIL and I have had some ups and downs in our relationship and I think we are finally past all that and it feels great to have their support! They also already told us that they are giving us all their baby stuff and offered to drive down to our house (1 hr away) and help us organize and clean out baby's room (they are both sorta OCD while we are not!)
Questions? With being so nauseous and exhausted our sex life is suffering, anyone else struggling with this?

Well, if I had a good voice I'd sing something pretty like a Sinatra song. However, since I'd butcher it, I'd sing Clint Eastwood by the Gorillaz because I can rap the shit out of that song. I know it all by heart haha. I can "bust a few rhymes so muthaf*ckers remember" lol I did actually sing it once on a cruise ship.

How are you feeling? OK. I woke up feeling way less nauseous than the previous two weeks, which of course has me worried. I still have sore boobs and things like that though.
Doing anything baby related today? Just The Bump. Oh! And going to pick up my anti nausea medication. I'm excited about that.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm mostly just really worried since I wasn't as nauseous this morning. I did gag a couple times upon waking up and moving around but it's no where near as intense as it has been. I just hope that doesn't mean I'm going to miscarry. I know I worry too much.
Questions? Has anyone else ever woke up one day and wasn't anywhere near as nauseous but still had a viable pregnancy? Is it normal for symptoms to come and go? Would be nice to know I'm just worrying over nothing as usual.

@kcolly32 I have a prescription for flonase. My OB told me to stop taking it, though, for at least the first trimester if not the whole pregnancy. It's considered a class C drug, so it could cause harm to a fetus. I did read that Rhinocort is OK to take though.
@Hummingbird125 My first u/s and doctor's appointment will be at 10 weeks as well! And I was wondering the same thing.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Really having a hard time focusing at work (for example, I shouldn't even be on here right now). There is just so much to think about! Thank god they gave us a 4 day weekend for New Years and I can spend some time wrapping my head around this pregnancy thing!
Questions? Any suggestions about where I can buy some cute, affordable, loose-fitting dresses for my first trimester? I know I won't be ready for maternity clothes for a while, but a lot of my regular clothes feel too tight with the bloating I've got going on, and the weight gain I'm sure will follow. Tried Target last night and just hate the styles they've got right now, and they barely had any dresses anyway.

@MSUgrad12 - I'm surprised you don't have the option for an NT scan/IPS ultrasound around the 11-13 week mark. They usually test for Down's Syndrome at that time, but it is optional in most places. Don't worry about them figuring out if the head is down. By 35 weeks or so, the baby is so big, they can tell just by feeling your belly. With my DD, she would sway her butt back and forth across the front of my tummy all day long, lol.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I wish my husband would be more "into" baby things. He really wants this baby and he is super excited about it, but he doesn't feel the need to talk about it constantly like I do. I find myself talking and he's zoned out playing a game or looking at Facebook on his phone. I think it must not seem real to him yet, maybe once I get visibly pregnant/he can feel the baby kick, he will be more excited on a daily basis.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: pretty mad at my in-laws who exposed me and my toddler to croup/walking pneumonia for over 24 hours. We are visiting for Christmas and can't leave. Of course the people who are sick and live in the same town as where we are visiting thought they should go ahead and stay here with us. I finally pulled the pregnancy card today and said I do not want to be around them anymore. Needless to say things are awkward now.

How are you feeling? Tired but pretty good beside that. My blood sugar keeps dipping and I can feel it, so I need to be better about eating small, frequent meals.
Doing anything baby related today? Had my first appointment! Heard the heartbeat (170 bpm) and got to see the bean on the big screen. I could even see the little hands and feet. I have literally never been so excited.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My dr made me feel much better about so many issues today, especially my eating. She said not to be down on myself for not eating all the veggies and proteins. The baby will take what it needs from whatever I eat. Also, she said I can dye my hair and use the good conditioner (not the drying organic stuff I've been trying these last few weeks.)
