@JennM205 I just got my results!! At 3w5d it was 186. At 4w6d the nurse wanted it at 3000 and it was 16,000!!!! That's a doubling rate of every 29 hours!
I'm feeling so relieved. After my loss in October, I have been so nervous and anxious. I had my first betas drawn last Wednesday, 12/30 and they were 106. Today I had a re-draw and they were 2595. What a relief! :-)
Second beta today. My levels went from 29 to 28. They are surprised. It's obviously not a viable pregnancy but now they're strongly thinking ectopic. They told me to monitor my symptoms very carefully and come back on Saturday.
Sad I am leaving but I wish you all the best of luck. Enjoy your pregnancies and babies! September is such a great month to be born

Got the results of my betas this afternoon! I've been anxiously waiting to hear back because they were concerned the first draw may be low based on LMP. (I've got long cycles.) HCG was 72 on Monday and up to 206 on Wednesday. Progesterone was 8.8, so I will be supplimenting like I did with DD.
Second beta today. My levels went from 29 to 28. They are surprised. It's obviously not a viable pregnancy but now they're strongly thinking ectopic. They told me to monitor my symptoms very carefully and come back on Saturday.

They didn't do an ultrasound? To see if it's ectopic? I'm so sorry to read this news! Fingers crossed.

@katetastrophem big hugs!! I'm sorry you're going through this! Take time for yourself to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally. Miscarriages are hard. Hugs!
Today was my third Beta and it was 6,695. The nurse also rattled off the numbers of the prog but I didn't hear anything else after that. I feel like I'm officially pregnant today and next Thursday is our first US :0
TTC for Baby #1 for 3 years. After 2 failed IUI's & IVFs, God blessed us with our miracle . FET 12/17/15 (transferred 2 embryos at 5days). First Beta 12/29/15 = 354. Second Beta 12/31/15 = 694. Third Beta 1/7/16 = 6,695. Finally heard his heartbeat (126) on 1/14/16 @ our 1st US. 2nd US on 1/21/16, HR was 159. The most beautiful sound ever
Oh ok, yeah I went by LMP not ovulation, that explains it. But dang, that makes me even earlier than I though Well I am happy you got an increase and share in your frustration of having to wait until Monday, T&Ps and sticky baby dust!

While it may be common on other sites, this phrase is not used on the bump. Many find it offensive and very insensitive to loss moms. Please refrain from using it here.
I've seen people say that this phrase can be seen as offensive but it truly doesn't bother me. And that is coming from someone who has experienced infant loss. It's not a phrase that I use personally but the sentiment behind it is positive so I don't see a reason to call her out for it. But I guess it's not a bad idea to let her know that some might be bothered by it.
As I said, there are other sites that do use it, and I understand it wasn't meant to be offensive which is why I worded my post the way I did. It's not something used on the bump and the person will get called out about it 99% of the time. I know it can be a trigger for some loss moms and I absolutely find it appropriate to let someone know that because I can't imagine anyone wanting to purposely say something that could upset or alienate someone who has experienced a loss.
^ 100000% this. I'm sure it wasn't mean to be offensive and I know that not everyone takes it that way. But I also know women who are exceptionally hurt by the phrase, so I think it's kind for us to not use it here (just like it's considerate for people to put a TW if they're going to talk about loss).
Whoops! Sorry ladies for anyone that was offended! I actually have only heard the phrase from here on the bump when I was pregnant with my first back in 2014 and it was always lighthearted and supportive. And this is the only baby board i've ever been apart of But definitely wouldn't want to upset anyone so will remove that phrase from my vocab! And, @CharmBombExplosion I appreciate your looking out for us mamas and letting me know @sarafuss congrats on the new news with the HPTs looking forward to Monday results for both of us!
Yes, when I was pregnant with DS in 2014 it was widely used!
18dpo beta was 700 and 20dpo beta was 1467. Third beta will be on Monday (25dpo, 5w4d according to O day) and I'll also be getting my first ultrasound.

@cassey910 It's nice to see someone in 5 weeks with numbers like that! I had close to 14k hcg yesterday at 5 weeks 2 days and though I know numbers vary greatly, sometimes it means twins! Which would be amazing but now I'm freaking out! lol.
Today is 17 DPO for me, I'm 4w3d and I had my first betas drawn today. Perk: DH is a surgeon at the military hospital and that's where I go for labs because my OB is also there. I got my results in 3 hours - 749. I go back for a second draw Monday just to make sure they're rising properly but my OB is very pleased with my numbers. I have my first u/s scheduled for 1/20. I'm finally starting to feel excited!
So I don't get beta draws (not part of protocol if not high risk), so I use the super inaccurate weeks indicator pee sticks and I was super happy to see it raise to 3+ weeks from ovulation this morning, which means 5+ weeks pregnant as I assume to be. Ahain, I know how crappy and variable the tests are but for me, it's a little peace of mind!
Just got the results from my 2nd draw. First one was 2255 at 23 dpo and 2nd was 3754 at 25dpo. Because it didn't double I have to do back in 2 days for a 3rd draw. Ill be 29dpo, so I'm hoping for a big number!

I am really nervous right now though as I miscarried at 5.5 weeks a few months ago so even though the numbers look good to my Dr. I still wish he would let me go every second day till Im safe. Somehow I don't think he will go for that.
@Kristin15172004 I think you're numbers look fine. They doubled within the normal 48-72 range and once your hcg is high like that the doubling time typically slows to 72-96 hours. I'm hoping for a nice high number for you on Wednesday but I think you're fine!

We went in for a dating ultrasound as soon as we got our bfp on 1/4, but technician couldn't see anything "baby" in its little home. Our first beta was 334.5 on 1/5 and second was 528.8 on 1/7. Based on lmp I should have been 5w5d and 6w respectively but numbers come in closer to between 4 & 5 weeks. I often have lengthy and irregular cycles (anywhere from 30 to 60 days, most commonly around 42 days) so I wasn't too surprised. We'll have another early ultrasound this week sometime. Hopefully we can get an accurate due date. Fx!
@Kristin15172004Do you have the same OB now as you did with your daughter? I have the same OB this time as last but they are doing things so differently - at first I thought it was because something was amiss (my progesterone came back low and now I'm on supps) but now I think it's just that three years have passed and their policies have probably changed. But it's tough, right!?! Good luck on Wednesday - FX for numbers that give you some relief!
Just got the results of my second draw taken at 20 dpo. HCG is 1903 (up from 911 on Mon) but Progesterone was only 11.63 (down from 14.16 on Mon). I'm starting progesterone suppositories tonight and will continue until 10 weeks, assuming baby sticks that long. The only other person I know who has had similar circumstances requiring the suppositories ended up miscarrying. I'm a little disheartened but still hopeful...
Anyone have any stories of low Progesterone and suppository use that resulted in a happy ending they can share?
*lurking from March 16 My HCG at 4 weeks was 17 and progesterone was 14.08. They started me on oral prometrium twice a day until 12 weeks. I'm currently 32+5
