I am a former NICU aide and current doctoral student in Clinical Health Psychology at East Carolina University. I am conducting a survey for my thesis on women's experiences with childbirth and NICU - both good and bad. Working in the NICU, one of the most important things I learned is maternal wellbeing is important not only for mom's health, but for the health and wellbeing of her baby and family, as well. Unfortunately, maternal wellbeing is something that often gets overlooked and moms do not get the support they need.
The survey is entirely online and asks no identifying information. We are looking for moms who are at least 18-years-old, live in the United States, and have a baby who is between 1 and 3 months old. If you are interested in learning more, you can check out our Facebook page (Facebook.com/ChildbirthWellbeing) or the actual survey at https://ecu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5cLfj55V3vc85P7.
If you do decide to take the survey, I really value any feedback! I want to be sure I am asking the right questions - the questions that matter to you as a NICU mom!
Was excited to read about your survey. Wish i could participate, my daughter just turned 3, but was a 26 weeker and in NICU for 3 mo. Its a great thing you are doing, good luck!
