TTC after 35

I've been MIA, back for a moment....(losses & living children mentioned)

Hello ladies,
I've been kind of MIA since September, but I'm popping back in to say hello again!

For those of you that have joined the boards since I kind of took leave, I just wanted to introduce myself again :)

I'm 38 with 4 children & my fiancé is 29 (no children)...we've suffered 3 losses in our 4 years together, 2 of which happened back to back December 2014 & again April 2015 (d&c needed).
Since then we have been unsuccessful in conceiving. Unfortunately, my fiancé's health has been extremely compromised, and we do believe this might be why we've been actively TTC for 17 months with no luck.

I wrote this in response to another post, but figured I'd repost here as well.
I don't know how active I will be on the boards, but I hope I can find some time to connect and support all of you. Maybe just getting this post out of the way will help me to come back.

It's been a very isolating 3 months and I'm finding that even writing an email is too much work.
I'm kind of impressed that I got this far!

Here's my update for those of you that remember me:

It's been 3 straight months of multiple Drs. visits and tests. He's on several meds now, but we are actively in the process of getting him diagnosed with lupus (he's been diagnosed so far with Hashimoto's and several other conditions that fall under Multiple Autoimmune Syndrome; like Raynauds, photosensitivity, low t, vitamin deficiencies, arthritis, migraines, hair loss, facial rashes, and skin lesions....you get the idea!)
We are closer than ever to getting the right treatment plan, however we have yet to see an RE. There hasn't been time with all these other specialists while he's been in an active flare up.
I hope we can make an appt for January, but we've really had to put TTC on hold.

It's been emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually draining. Three months feels like 3 years, but I have faith that we will come through the other side of it all, I just don't know when.

Thanks for reading and please feel free to update me on how each of you are doing. I'll take some time to look at the board and catch up!
Xoxo

I'm sorry it has been such a trying time, @thistle8677 I'm glad you and your fiancé are getting closer and closer to the diagnosis and treatment the needs. It does sound like it has been all-consuming and isolating. I'm glad to see you back and hope you'll pop in when it works for you to do so. Take care!

So good to see you @thistle8677 I'm sorry for all that you and your fiancé have been through. It's hard to have your plans on hold, but I'm sure it's also very hard to watch him go through all of that. I hope the doctors are aggressive in correctly identifying what's happening and getting him some help. Thinking of you both.

Also, I just wanted to say that I understand the difficulty in writing- I feel that way when things feel hard, and you've got a lot going on. We're happy to have you back, as often as you're comfortable with.

    Creepy internet hugs

It sounds like you all are on your way out of the woods, so to speak.  I'm so glad you are back, even if intermittently.  You have always been such a great support and wealth of knowledge on this board.
I, too, am taking a bit of a break until I've gotten my weight and health under control.
    Good luck in 2016!

@thistle8677 - totally fine, just lost my way with working out and I think over supplementing and taking my eye off my huge weight loss (80lbs!) and gaining back 30 of it this year.  I'm getting back to my weight loss so I can create a better vessel to try one more time ;)  best wishes to you in 2016!
