Babies on the Brain

Merry Christmas!

To those who celebrate, Merry Christmas!  What's everyone up to?

Pretty much just the standard for us.  In-laws tonight, hosting my parents for breakfast tomorrow morning, and then seeing some extended family tomorrow afternoon.  I'm in New England and it's in the 60s right now, so it has been hard to get into the Christmas spirit.  I imagine those of you who live in warm places are used to this, but for me it's super weird!

  • Merry Christmas!

I'm in New England, so I know how you feel. This weather is crazy, but it looks like we might be  some snow in my area early next week.

Tonight I'm relaxing with DH and DD.  We're watching the Doctor Who Christmas specials in our jammies. Tomorrow we're doing brunch and gift exchange with both sides of the family.

  • Merry Christmas.

It's a bit colder in the Netherlands, but still warmer then we are used to (50 F). We already had Christmas eve last night, just with the 2 of us. Today we're going to my parents and my sister will be there too, and my mum usually makes a lot of food so we won't need to eat tonight anymore. Tomorrow to my in-laws.

  • Merry Christmas, yall!  It absolutely poured buckets here yesterday - almost 3 inches of rain.  It's grey this morning, but no rain yet.  My in-laws came into town on Wednesday evening, and we did the Christmas Eve church service with them and with my parents.  Then my BIL drove down last night, and we had our traditional grazing meal, holiday-themed movie, seasonal brews and a puzzle.  This morning I'll make a gallon of coffee and a frittata for everyone, we'll do presents, and then we'll all go over to my parents' for dinner.

Bit hard to be in the Christmas spirit right now, as it's almost 70* before 8am, but the tree sure is pretty!

  • Merry Christmas!

I live in NY; it's warm enough my husband wanted "bragging rights" and rode his motorcycle to work this morning. I wasn't entirely into the idea because we've had quite a few motor vehicle accidents in our area thanks to increased traffic and idiot drivers, but... I suppose.

We woke up at 4 AM to do Christmas; hubby left for work at 7. Now DS is upstairs playing with all of his new toys and the dog is in his new bed chewing on a beef bone.

  • It's a bit chilly here in Alaska (15 degrees F) but not a terrible amount of snow. Unfortunately, it appears our very snowy winters may be a thing of the past. My family is spending xmas with DH and I at our house, as we have a little more room for entertaining. We went and spent some time at DH's family for a couple of hours (they live nearby) so overall it's been a good balance of visiting all the relatives. :)

    Merry Christmas everyone!
