  • Drinking mine right now.. but no not to induce labor. Like pp said it's thought to help strengthen the uterus for labor. May not do anything at all but it is tasty and makes me feel proactive.
  • I've had a cup before bed everyday this month. It isn't inducing anything, but does make my little lady move like crazy.
  • I'm with a PP, definitely doesn't induce labor. But I have heard it helps tone the uterus so contractions become more helpful and efficient. And I've also heard it may help reduce Post partum bleeding.
  • I don't like it though because it taste like dirty potato water to me and makes me gag.
  • @babybluu hahaha! Gotta love pregnancy taste buds. Try adding a bit of honey and/or a splash of milk to it and see if that reduces the dirty potato flavor :p

Good idea lol. I usually just ice it down and chug it

  • I've been drinking it twice a day. I feel like it's been making my BH contractions less painful. I also think it just tastes like black tea.

  • I drink mine cold and with equal parts organic lemonade. It makes it taste really nice. I just make a pitcher of it at a time. Found the recipe on Pinterest.
    Maybe you could try that?
  • Do you know if raspberry tea is the same I couldn't find any "leaf" tea.

No, not the same thing. Raspberry tea is just a flavor, raspberry leaf tea is what you want (doesn't taste anything like raspberries). I get mine from whole foods, if you can't find it in a store near you try ordering online. I would think it would be at any health food store though.
  • I ordered a 6 pack (16 bags each) off Amazon for $19 of the Yogi organic tea bags.

Check the ingredients. The whole foods store near me carries Red Raspberry Tea. It is made from raspberry leaves and advertised as excellent for pregnant women.

The word leaf wasn't in the title, but after checking the ingredients I knew what I was getting. I also did a quick google search of the brand. =)

This is what I have been using too. I actually enjoy the flavor and keep it iced in the fridge. (In the US South here so still warm-ish).

  • @anightintunisiaIf you go to a tea store and ask they should be able to help you. I've got Davids Tea in town and they've got one that has some added stuff so it tastes better. There's also a smaller local shop that has it. I've also been told health food stores tend to carry it. Unfortunately the regular stores (at least in my area) don't have any.

  • @UptownPearl @essentialpeace okay I have Whole Foods. Never thought to check there thank you!
  • I found the Yogi at a local grocery store, Earth Mama Angel Baby Third Trimester Tea at BRU, and Alvita Raspberry Tea at GNC.
I've also found at my Super Target.

  • My grocery store carries it in the vitamin and health area, not on the shelves with all of the other normal and flavored teas. But it's much cheaper to buy a 6 pack of boxes on Amazon, especially considering you drink 3-4 cups a day.
