Menopur Cycle

I don't post over here too often, but I thought I might get some advice. Hopefully I'm in the right spot.
We are supposed to start injections tomorrow. Ugh.
My RE wants to do a Menopur only cycle this time. I'm 34 & have PCOS. Has anyone done this treatment cycle before? I started reading about it this weekend and I'm a little confused by it. My first IVF we did Menopur and Bravelle. We retrieved 40 eggs, 10 fertilized, and 4 made it to 5 day blasts. Have positive or negative stories about a Menopur only cycle?

I did menopur with IUI. First cycle I got my BFP. Maybe your eggs matured too quickly on both drugs? If they mature too quickly they aren't always the best quality.

I did Menopur and gonal f with a double Lupron trigger to prevent over production. 40 eggs is a lot and it's possible many of them were not mature. I had 25 retrieved and all 25 were mature but they adjusted my meds daily to drag out the process. 21 fertilized, 18 made it to day 5, 10 made it to freeze and 1 is kicking away in my tummy. I have to say it worked for us, but the key was the re adjusting meds and controlling development.

Menopur stings going in and has side effects that aren't fun, but is a very common tool. I don't really know of many who haven't used it in an IVF cycle.

As a side note, if you mix the menopur with 1ml(I think it's ml) of the liquid mixture it doesn't sting. I never had issues with it stinging except for when I had to refrigerate it after I mixed it.

It stung for me whether I did one powder or two. My least favorite shot!

I think it stings less if you use more of the liquid. I used 1ml each time and if I had to use more powder the nurse told me to use more liquid.
