Right lower back feels pulled

Yesterday I was doing a few ups and downs at work, but nothing extravagant. This morning my lower back, only on the right hand side, is hurting. Very uncomfortable like a brand new pulled muscle.
Third babes and 6 weeks.
A couple of my friends recently have at ectopic pregnancies, so my irrational fears are going strong. This is the third and final baby and is 6 months after a mc and already have 2 mc under my belt.

Re: Right lower back feels pulled

  • If it were an ectopic you would know, I personally have not had one of those but last weekend I ended up in the ER with the worst pain I've ever felt. I thought maybe it was an ectopic but I was just over the 3w mark so it was super early to have any symptoms of an ectopic If that was the case. Well, I had a corpus luteum cyst rupture on my right side and I had so much pain in my pelvic region and pressure on my rectum. It was terrible, I didn't have any blood come out but I did bleed some internally which is what caused a lot of pain as well. Basically an ectopic or cyst rupture does not feel like a pulled or strained muscle in your back. They cause a lot of pain either on one side of your pelvis region where your ovaries are or the whole front. Try not to worry, and if you feel like you need to make an early appt with your dr then see if they can get you in.

  • I would hydrate big time in fear of a kidney issue. It could be just a pulled muscle. I've been struggling with my kidneys lately and have an appointment to go back to my urologist the 29th. I've never heard an ectopic compared to a pulled muscle pain before. It's so very hard not to consider the worst every time you feel badly. I wouldn't stress too much. Try and drink a lot of water, rest, and gently stretches when you feel better. You can look up yoga stretches for your back and it will do wonders to help and prevent those types of injuries :) I hope you feel better soon!
