Henry vs Henri

I'm considering the name Henry for my little guy due in March, and I'm not a huge fan of the "ry" ending. However, I'm wondering if the spelling ending in "ri" is trying a bit too hard to be unique, or, if it is a common variation. Thoughts?

Agree about the pronounciation. Both names are lovely names; they are pronounced completely different though.

Ditto the French pronunciation of Henri (awn-ree). 

If you're not French and do not plan to use this pronunciation then Henry is the proper spelling for the English (hen-ree) pronunciation. No need to change it to be different. If you like the name then don't let the popularity of it deter you. But if you can't get past it then choose another name.

Henry. Henri pronounced Henri is just awful. If you don't like the ry ending then maybe consider something else
