I am sorry to be the bearer of such sad news. He was such an incredible actor and was able to portray some of the most complex and intriguing characters I have ever seen. From Jane Austen to Love Actually to Shakespeare to, of course, his spot-on portrayal of Severus Snape, Alan Rickman used his signature voice and incredible sense of dramatic timing to bring an entirely new level of performance to everything he was in. The world has lost a fantastic artist and talent. So sad!
This morning, I watched the episode of Parenthood when they have Amber's baby shower at the hospital. I lost it when the ladies read aloud the advice they had written to her in the baby book.

I'm at the doctor's office waiting to have my blood drawn for the GD screening and they asked me to leave a urine sample. Somehow I managed to pee all over my hand and barely in the cup. I don't even understand how I did it. I'm an adult and this is my second pregnancy, I've peed in a cup hundreds of times in my life. But between the glucose drink, the itchiness from what is either a severe allergic reaction or PUPPP and peeing in my hand, I definitely just started crying in the bathroom.
I was late for work today because I heard on the radio that Alan Rickman passed away and I started sobbing uncontrollably in the parking lot and wailing "Bravest...man...I...ever...knew!" I actually thought I was going to throw up I was crying so hard. I have got to pull myself together!
Ugh. This was me too. DH thought it would be a phenomenal idea to tell me in the car on the way to work.
