Maternity bras?

Hi all, first time momma here! I'm just about 7 weeks and my "girls" are killing me! Is it possible to have grown out of my bra size already? I feel like my bras have become too small and too tight practically overnight! I am not overindulging with food either, I'm very consciously eating a well balanced diet.

Since I'm pretty sure I need to get a new bra, should I buy a maternity bra now? Is it too early? Also, if I should buy a maternity bra, should I only get one or 2 for now since they will be getting even bigger?? Any insight is appreciated Happy and Healthy to all mommas and babies

I bought nursing bras last time and they worked for me both at the end of my pregnancy and after when I was nursing. I LOVED the Bravado ones, specifically the body silk seamless. I got mine at Target. When it was time for me to switch back to normal bras, I was so sad. They are extremely comfortable and no underwire.

I was pre-baby a 34DD and in the first trimester went up about a cup. I just started wearing sports bras when I could get away with it. Toward the end of my pregnancy I bought a few nursing bras and regular bras (motherhood, VS, and Pea in the Pod) the fit but had room for growth and stretch. Yeah not enough, 8 days after my daughter was born my breasts each got bigger than her head. It not only hurt so bad to even try to put them on but they didn't even cover nipple completely. I send DH to target to get sports bras and the soft nursing bras. I've learned everyone is different. My scare now is my daughter was 2 in October and I'm still a 36 FF (according to motherhood measurments) VS doesn't sell that size and I'm basically in sports bras 95% of the time. If they get any bigger they may fall off. I told my DH when we found out we were pregnant last time that after he was buying me boobs (be careful what you ask for) now it's our little joke and every birthday and holiday I get a coupon for boobs.

I am so interested to hear what others say about this too. It probably depends on how much you filled your cup before pregnancy. I've definitely bumped up a cup size as of last week. I'm currently only 6w3d. I just bought one (normal) bra 1 size up so far and still wear my others when I'm not wearing anything where the "spillover" can be seen through the shirt. I got that one from an outlet, so it was much cheaper than most.

I'm a FTM but from what I've heard from others is to not buy nursing bras yet as your size is probably going to change a couple more times before baby even arrives, and then again once your milk comes in.

I've seen recommendations for a soft bra at Target that's like $15 and doesn't have underwires.

I got my maternity bras at Macy's for my son. My breasts really ebbed and flowed size wise as I nursed him for 13 months and they have some really comfy options. If your planning on nursing I'd stay away from underwire and opt for the looser fitting ones.

Normally, I like to wear a Demi cup bra.. Maybe I should just buy a size bigger with full cups and see how long that lasts me ! I'm a 36DD normally, so I'm apprehensive to go wireless just yet--I need the support!

In my last pregnancy, I used Coobies brand bras... they are so comfy!  No underwires, and they stretch a lot.

Thank you queenbee, your advice was very helpful especially since like me, you started out well endowed to begin with lol. I don't want to even bother spending the money and getting a size up in VS bc I know it's just gonna go to waste I feel like! I also told hubby if my boobs stay big after breast feeding, I want it get a reduction and lift LOL. Once all I'm done having kids that is! Mostly for health reasons, I have a small frame and am nervous of having back problems later in life.
