Daddy FINALLY put baby down to sleep!

For 5 1/2 months I've been the only person who could put our lo to sleep at night. I was so upset I had to go out of town last week for work for 3 nights, but it ended up being a blessing! Hubs finally (bc he had to obviously) put our baby girl down. He's tried before when I'm there and she would scream and cry, just wasn't having it so he would stress out every time he tried. I truly believe she felt his energy, stressed and nervous. He put her down just fine all 3 night while I was out of town! Now we share the duty, having specific nights during the week which we're responsible for. I love putting my lo down, but now I have a sense of freedom knowing if I'm not home he can do it! Anyone else go through this?? I wonder what changed where she all of a sudden let him put her down?

Re: Daddy FINALLY put baby down to sleep!

  • Maybe she bonded with her dad. Babies can sense their mamas but since she only had her dad there she allowed him to put her down to bed. My son did this when I tried giving him a bottle, with me he didn't take it but with his grandparents he did. And I agree with you that babies can sense when others are stressed or nervous. I'm glad everything worked out with your little one and her daddy though!
