Boy named Drew

We are still going around and around on names. What do you think about the standalone name Drew for a boy? My preference would be Andrew with nn Drew, but DH says he would rather just use Drew since Andrew is the name of a close cousin of his. If you've seen any of my other posts you know that we have had a very hard time coming to common ground! DH's other suggestions are Lane, Brendan and Grady. Brendan is just meh for me and the other two I am not into. My favs are Nolan, Eli, Ian, Grant and Bennett, all of which DH has veto'd. Brothers are Carson and Dylan.

I think Drew works as a stand alone name. Some people may assume his name is Andrew, but just Drew isn't unheard of.

I like Drew as a stand alone name. I also like Lane, that was on our list of boys names this round but we are having another daughter.

Although NMS, I think Drew as stand alone works. 

Grady sounds like gravy and is incredibly trendy, as is Lane. Brendan isn't bad either. Both work with your sibset.

I think Brendan goes best with your sibset.

Is Luke/Lucas an option. It was my first thought with your sibset.

I think Drew is a nice stand alone name. And works with your sibs.

I love Andrew so I prefer Drew as a nickname but I do think it works as a standalone name. Drew is adorable on a toddler (but a great adult name too).

I think it's fine alone, although I agree that it's maybe better as a NN.

I feel the same way about Drew and Dylan, and I'm not sure why either. I guess its the double D. At this point we are not super focused on making the sibset work well since we can't come to common ground on any names!

I've known a few Drews that weren't short for anything. I've only heard it as a boy name (other than the obvious Drew Barrymore). I like it.
