Please HELP Me!!

ok so I'm still getting really sick and at this point I have just comes to terms with that. My problem comes in though with my skin, every time I get sick my body tries its hardest to force everything out which then causes capillaries BURST in my face and neck. My face and neck then look all splotchy and gross and I feel like I have tried everything! I have tried ice on my face to shrink the splotches and then of course I use makeup but that doesn't work very well. I just need any advice from anyone and I'll try everything or anything. Is anyone else going through this as well or is it just me?! Please help!!

Re: Please HELP Me!!

  • Oh, wow. Unfortunately I don't have any advice, but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry you're going through this. It sounds awful!! Have you talked to your Doctor/OB? You may be able to get some solid advice or relief from it all from them.
Good luck. I really hope this passes soon!

  • Oh OP, I'm sorry you're going through that! I can't offer any advice either but can only echo what pp mentioned and maybe chat with your OB about it. Im hoping you're on the tail end of the sickness and it passes soon! FX for you.
  • Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!! I would definitely say you need medicine to treat the nausea first, and that will help the capillaries to not burst.
  • Yup, this happens to me a lot when I throw up but I don't think there is much you can do to stop it besides not throwing up. I've been taking diclectin and it's helped me to only throw up a couple times total this pregnancy.
  • I wish I had advice other than makeup. I'm so sorry you're going through this!!
  • Sorry to say there's not much you can do for the capillaries once they show up. To prevent, while vomiting try to make sure your face stays as relaxed as you can. Sometimes we clench up and that causes pressure to build. Easier said than done I know.
  • Are you on anything for the nausea? Diclegis (unisom and B6) does wonders for many to keep the vomiting at bay. If you're having that big of an issue, give your doctor a call to see if they would recommend anything to keep the nausea down.
  • I have this same issue. For me what has helped is having something to throw up. I know that sounds weird but typically it's the dry heaving that causes things to burst. As for the splotches I haven't figured out anything that helps! Talk to your doctor and figure out something to take for it! We haven't found the magic pill yet for me but it helps a little bit. Good luck!
  • Thank you everyone for even taking a glance at this thread I really appreciate it. I am still sitting around with frozen peas on my face haha but Iv uped my game as far as unisom and B6. Hopefully it gets better. I know this will sound crazy but I'm a bartender nad I work 6-7 sometimes 8-9 hour shifts of running around like crazy and I forget to grab quick bites to eat. So the advice of keeping something is my stomach is something I will try to get better at! Again thank you everyone!!! Hopefully I will figure out the secret to get rid of the splotches haha = )
