Re: FFFC 12/11/15

  • @ohbaby714 i didn't even start prenatals until almost the second trimester because I just threw them up anyways. Now with the iron I take it hurts like hell even taking them the same day. I take them 4 hours apart and right before bed, IF I remember. The only reason I took them tonight was because of this thread!
I feel bad. But I crave fruits and veggies so it isn't like she doesn't get at least SOME nutrients

  • @baya5 the true confession is making cookies with a stomach virus? Haha oh no I think I'll steer clear of that plate...
  • Our neighbors have a low battery on a smoke alarm and I can hear it in my bedroom. Random sounds like that make me twitch. My confession is I'm sending DH in the rain on an errand to pick me up earplugs so I can hopefully sleep through the noise. He hasn't gone out for any cravings of mine so this will do!

How do they live like that?! We had a smoke alarm battery start dying a while ago and I lasted 2 minutes before I climbed up the shelves (it was by a closet) and ripped the thing out. I hope those earplugs work.

I'm assuming it's from a rental and it must be vacant? But the earplugs were glorious and I slept very deeply... I may keep this up even if they do finally get a new battery!

I threw up so hard last night that I actually wondered if I was going to die. Granted it was really intense- I popped blood vessels all over my face and it made my teeth hurt, but I'm embarrassed that the thought even crossed my mind!

I have a phobia of nausea/throwing up. Every time I get really nauseous I start acting irrationally and will do just about anything to make it stop (strip naked and lay down in a cold shower, run outside in the snow, close my eyes and breathe and PRAY). And sadly, if my nausea is an all day thing, I will think several times that there is nothing worse on earth than nausea and vomitting and that I would rather be dead than feel that way. I also hate how other fears cause nausea... I get anxious when I fly which makes me nauseous, which then makes me more anxious (requiring anxiety meds), extended pain makes me feel nauseous, being too hot makes me nauseous, eating too little or too much makes me feel nauseous, etc. Sometimes I think about the amount of time and energy I waste trying to avoid nausea and then I realize I have a true problem. One of my biggest fears of becoming a mom is that my child will throw up... And bring the stomach bug home with her. I almost can't deal just thinking about it. I would be a totally different person in a world where throwing up didn't exist.

Don't worry I'm not contaminating them. Moms in charge of cookies. Plus the doc said its a 24 hour bug so I'm technically not contagious anymore but I wouldn't risk it. Rest and fluids is all im suppose to be doing...with a2.5 year old

Norovirus is SUPER contagious. It went around my college when I was there and they basically quarantined us and shut down the school, telling no one to leave. You're contagious for at LEAST a few days after you feel better, if not longer.

I used to be just like this! It has definitely gotten better as I've gotten older but when I was younger I would refuse to go to school for fear of myself or someone else throwing up. It was crazy. I'm better now but not completely. I have the same issue with flying- I'm not afraid of flying per say but more so of it making me nauseous or something (which it never does- and I used to fly at least once a month if not more). It's a bad problem to have so I really feel for you!!
