Small for 6 months?

Whenever I'm asked in public or by family friends how far along I am, they all seem surprised when I say "6 months". I've googled several times pictures of other women who are in their sixth month, and there are some who look smaller than me and some who have a larger bump. I'm just so fed up with hearing that I look small! I've gained at least 20 pounds and am very proud of myself for keeping on track with that since I was underweight when I conceived. Anyone else sick of hearing that they look small for how far along they are?

Im 31 weeks and look like and measure like im 16 weeks. I work out everyday just about and take care of myself.... I get judged alot for being fit petite and pregnant. Its annoying people tell me all the time its not healthy yoir bump is so tiny. My doctor says its a perfect bump with a healthy baby in it. Embrace what ever size bump you have big or small. Every one has a different body and shape. I've gained 35 lbs so far but don't have a clue were it is.... Just be glad your bump is tiny but it can grow over night!
  • The bump doesn't mean anything about your baby, people just assume because you are 6 months along you should be massive. I got told all the time on how tiny I look, you just enjoy while it lasts. When I was 24 weeks, my OB was like "you probably get told a lot that your bump is super small," and I said yes and he was like "wait until they start commenting on how big you get" Everyone carries their bump differently and I have gained about 25 lbs. Family, friends and even strangers will always have something to say about your bump. I'm still pretty tiny according to most people but as long as your baby is measuring well and healthy, that's all that matters.

  • Every woman carries differently and the one thing I've noticed about being pregnant is that people feel is it their right to comment on the state of your body (regardless of whether they feel you look too big, too little, or too anything). The best advice I can give you is to completely ignore them, because they are being as rude as hell.

  • Everyone is offended by everything these days. The sooner we (all pregnant ladies) realize that people lose their minds around us, the happier and less offended we will be.
