Middle name for Mae

I've been pushing for Mae as a middle name but can't agree with my husband on any first names.  Since we both like Mae I'm considering that as the first name but having a hard time coming up with a middle name.  Any ideas? Last name sounds like Dupree.

Also - I haven't brought this up with him because I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.  Is an "M" name with Mae as the middle too much?  I kind of like Mabel Mae but am afraid they're too similar.

Re: Middle name for Mae

  • I've been loving m names together!

  • I think you misstated, but you want Mas as fn and are looking for middle names. Right?

It needs something longer and for some reason I'm gravitating towards vowels: Elizabeth, Alexandra, Olivia, Annalise.

I don't like Mabel Mae, because they both start with the May sound. If it were a different m name, like Mia Mae or Michelle Mas, it would be better, although still lot what I would choose.

  • My grandmas name was Mae with a middle name Estelle. I think Mae Estelle flows nicely.
  • I love the name Mae Estelle. It's very cute, and flows well. I've never met anyone with the name spelled Mae, though. But I have seen May. I knew of a May Rochelle, and a May Rachelle. That would make your choice name as a Mae Rochelle/Rachelle. But I'm leaning more towards Mae Estelle!
  • I think with Mae as a first name you need a slightly longer mn. What pops in my head first is

I like these as middle or first with Mae. Spelling makes me think of Mae West.

  • To me, Mae is a middle name, not really "strong" enough on its own to be a first name. That said, if you do like it for a first name I like the combo of "m" names.
