I use to at first when I got pregnant and the first few weeks after I had my son but I learned that Dr. Google can sometimes make my worry or frustration worse. I would look up acne bumps on baby, and it would give me a whole lot of negative things linked to it. It ended up being just hormones passed on through BM. Now I try not to worry and if it's something I have a question about I ask you mamas and my pediatrician.
I google all the time, but I take it worth a grain of salt. Any serious concerns go right to the pediatrician.. Little stuff I google and then ask fellow moms and my family. I mainly use it just because of general curiosity. My OB/GYN warned me from appointment one that googling could get you really worked up. Lol. It was very true.
Our ped gave us this website - https://www.healthychildren.org/english/tips-tools/symptom-checker/Pages/default.aspx - and said to check that first before Dr. Google, haha. I like that it has the "When to Call" tab so I can gauge how serious things actually are (for example, LO has had colds on and off since October, and now I know what symptoms are concerning, i.e. fever for 3 or more days, and which ones are par for the course, i.e. congestion for a week).
