How are you feeling? great--no cramping today; other than still having some difficulty sleeping, I feel really good.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Finally got in touch with my OB--they don't do the first appt until 9-12 weeks, so no ultrasound or checkup before Christmas, which makes me a little nervous about telling our folks this month!

GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? We have a dog and a cat. Not doing much about the cat (other than DH on litter duty!), but I read Good Dog, Happy Baby when we first started trying. I already implemented some of the training techniques, which have been good for our dog, but need to kick it back in gear. Our dog is not a big fan of babies in general. He has snapped at my niece, and whenever I watch a video with a baby crying, he starts whining and complaining. So, if I don't feel 100% that the training has done it's job, he may be going to live with my parents--they love him and I can't put baby at risk!

We have a dog but she's used to being around kids. I have 2sds that are 8 and 9. Ds is 2.
How are you feeling? So bloody tired. I slept all weekend and I'm having a hard time making it through the day at my desk.
Doing anything baby related today? I made my first prenatal appointments! First ultrasound the first week in Jan! YAY! @cait5413 I'm wishing it was before Christmas too. I won't be comfortable until I see that little heart beating.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I am missing my energy drinks and coffee! I'm sure that's not helping the tiredness. I wish I were better at drinking water too @lgem4 I just don't like the way it tastes.

GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? Just a cat and she's so used to babies. I don't think she'll need any prepwork. She spends most of the summer outdoors, so she'll have an escape if she gets too overwhelmed. I think she'll do great though.
How are you feeling? Pretty good! Just tired and thirsty, but I can't seem to get warm today which is new.
Doing anything baby related today? I had an apt with the OB to make sure that my anesthesia from Wednesday didn't impact the pregnancy at all. Apt went well and I have a follow-up on Wednesday to review the blood work they took today.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Feeling so much better after hearing from the doctor that all is ok. I feel like I can finally start enjoying each day instead of worrying myself sick.
Questions? Weird question but is anyone using a heating blanket right now? It's the only thing that can seem to warm me up, but I've read articles with mixed messages. Doc told me to not change my lifestyle at all for baby (other than obvious things like drinking) but I can't help being cautious...
GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? Yup, one dog. She's great around kids so I think it'll me more of an adjustment for her when she's not the center of attention anymore.
How are you feeling? Excited and nervous. I know it's very early and so much can happen. As far as symptoms- A little crampy but nothing bad. Also nauseous after I eat.
Doing anything baby related today? Called my OB and made my first appointment for January 4th. It feels like forever away.

Confirmed my 6 week US with the high risk ob and scheduled my 8.5 and 10.5 week ultra sounds and appointments, which makes it seem more real.

We have 2 and they love our 18 mo old so we will slowly get the baby stuff out in a few months and let them sniff it and sit next to the moving swing/mamaroo with a stuffed animal in it. Hoping they are as good with #2!

GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? Both dogs are very comfortable with babies. But plan to put stuff out early and let them get used to it. Then my husband will bring a blanket or something home from the hospital so they can get used to the scent.

GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? We just have a kitty, and I know I'll have to be consistent about trimming her claws when the baby comes, but mostly I think she'll just enjoy having a warm body to cuddle up with on demand.
How are you feeling? Ok. My back was really hurting earlier and I've been exhausted. Nothing too bad.
Doing anything baby related today? Did some prenatal yoga to help with the back pain. I also called the OB's office to see if they will do a blood draw. Still waiting to hear back.

GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? They're (4 dogs) all good with babies by now. My son got rid of any issues they had. They all know they're not allowed to steal stuffed animals, either.
How are you feeling? I've been a little worried because I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms yet (not that I want to be puking, but still). Yesterday, DH opened a Hershey's kiss across the room without me knowing, and I could smell it! And it smelled gross! So that was weird.
Doing anything baby related today? I finally talked to my Dr. office. They explained all my insurance stuff to me, which I was very thankful for, and I'm doing blood work this week. I still don't know when I actually get to go to the doctor.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Staff Christmas party is on Thursday. I put in money for wine before I knew I was pregnant, so now I have to pretend to drink it all night. Also, people are all excited and signing up for a "Biggest Loser" contest starting in January, and coworkers keep hassling me about why I haven't signed up. I might just put in my $10 to shut them up.

GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? I have two cats who I imagine won't care at all about a new baby. They don't pay any attention to us now. They're too busy doing weird cat things and destroying Christmas decorations. I have heard that if you put aluminum foil in the crib before the baby comes, they will stay out of it.

How are you feeling? Ok. Pretty dizzy pretty much all the time. I told the nurse on the phone today I feel drunk. But, so far, no nausea so for that I am thankful.
Doing anything baby related today? I had blood drawn to see if my dizziness is a regular early pregnancy symptom, or the result of anemia, my chronic low blood pressure, or the like.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm just excited to be starting off my 6th week because it means I'm that much closer to my first u/s (December 30).
Questions? Anyone else having a lot of dizziness? I'm drinking all of the water, but I can't seem to get my head straight.

GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? Should be interesting in our zoo with 2 dogs and 2 cats. Highly doubt the cats and 1 dog will blink an eye. Our other dog loves kids and babies. A friend of mine brought her 6 week old over and our dog was in heaven. She loved the baby so much and laid beside her.
How are you feeling? Good today, I ate at least every 2 hours all day and it really helps.
Doing anything baby related today? My coworker (who I share an office with) had a granddaughter over the weekend and her son and his wife can't agree on a name so we looked at names most of the day.

GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? We have three golden retrievers and this is going to be a big adjustment for them, they are good with kids but aren't around them consistently. Two of my dogs first lived in a home where they had kids but they were older. I'm more worried about the baby as an infant and that I won't have hands to pat them whenever they like. I already don't have enough hands, I have to use a foot sometimes lol. I guess I can still use my feet when needed
How are you feeling? Normal. I still don't feel pregnant. I had a small bout of nausea earlier but I drank a little bit of coke and I'm good.

How are you feeling? Nausea kicked in way more today, had to eat every time in order to not get sick. Boobs are killing me again after not hurting for a few days. Was dizzy for a day or two, feels like the hormones have really picked up! And I'm way too moody and tired (sorry dh!).
Doing anything baby related today? I called my obgyn to see if my results from my blood draws Thursday and Saturday were in yet. Nurse said my Dr hadn't signed off yet, but they looked great! Can't wait to hear that for sure from the Dr.!

My dog is an ole pro. He has a baby sister already, whom he adores. Closer to the due date, we will refamiliarize him with the swing/car seat
How are you feeling? Mostly just really bloated and some slight cramping. Also, extremely tired and slightly dizzy, a little achy. No idea if all of that is pregnancy symptoms or not. It's still so early.
Doing anything baby related today? I made my first prenatal appointment, which is on Jan. 20 (10 weeks). I was shocked at how long they make you wait for your first appointment, especially since I've had a miscarriage before. They're not drawing blood or anything before then.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Just really excited to be here! Also can't wait to tell DH's parents and stepparents on Christmas. I already blurted it out to my parents over the phone the day I found out because I couldn't wait any longer. I am extremely worried though (trying to remain calm and not get stressed) that this pregnancy will end in a miscarriage just like the last one. But I got two clear lines and a positive on a digital at 3 weeks 3 days, and then last night after midnight I took a test again because I was paranoid, and this time the test line was just as dark as the control line and it came up in the matter of seconds. So I'm guessing that's a good sign, right?
Questions? Has anyone had a positive test and pregnancy symptoms this early? I feel like it's too early for me to have such strong positives and pregnancy symptoms. Of course I was stupid and Googled, and learned that can mean a molar pregnancy, multiples or absolutely nothing. I'm trying to assume everything is fine and relax.
GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? We haven't really begun to prep them yet. I guess we're going to have to eventually teach them not to sleep in our room for awhile. We plan to keep the baby's crib in our room for the first six months before moving it over to what is now the guest room, but will be the baby's room. I don't want to chance one of our cats jumping into the crib. We have two cats and a dog who acts like a cat. I'm really hoping they get along with the baby!

GTKY - If you have furbabies, how are you prepping them for baby's arrival? Unfortunately no furbabies, we lost our dog last year and I haven't been able to convince DH that we need another one yet!
How are you feeling? I vary. Some days I feel great. Other days I cannot stay awake. I had started vomiting everything I eat today, but at least I can still eat. I count that as a small blessing.
