TTC after 35

Can I come back? (Re-intro: child and miscarriage mentioned)

Hi ladies!
jilligan14 @Jenniferk08@CarrieandRoyand anyone else I missed!

Anyway, a bit of a re-intro and update about me.  I'm newly 39 and have an almost 2 year old.  I had a miscarriage before my daughter, and we've been trying for about a year now.  We just met with an RE (actually 2, one for dh and one for me.  It's a bit unconventional, I know, but dh had some issues on his end and so we ended up with separate doctors.  I'm not super thrilled about this, but we've made our expectations clear to both of them).  So far my testing has been normal, with the exception of some suspicion about diminished ovarian reserve, but they chalk that up to my age (great).  I just had an endometrial biopsy and the fun saline-through-the-fallopian-tubes test.  We'll get results from the biopsy and talk about the big picture and where to go from here when we meet with my doctor later this month.  I'm feeling optimistic since starting with the RE, even though at first it really felt like I had no control over this process anymore (I have control issues).  Those nurses can be mighty bossy!

Anyway, I'm happy to be back with you all and hope to be a bit better about participating and staying optimistic.  Good luck to everyone!

I don't know what's going on here but my post keeps getting chopped.  Here's what the first para is supposed to say!

I've been taking a break/lurking for the last few months but feel like I'd like to be a little more active on here again.  I'm kind of craving the support from this board, and participating, too.  I'm also so excited for all the bfps I'm seeing!
  • Welcome back! Definitely jump on in. We are finding ourselves in a spot much like yours and just this morning discussed that we will start taking other steps if we don't have a BFP by February. I find that participating in here really does help me stay optimistic. People are so supportive and it's just nice to not feel alone. So, welcome! And, May we all get BFPs this holiday season! ;)
