Stopping breastfeeding

I'm thinking of stopping breastfeeding. I know some might be against it but I feel it's best for me and lo. I use a shield bc of inverted nipples and lo gets very gassy from sucking in lots of air due to the shield. I tried pumping exclusively and I can't keep up. Anyone else stop breastfeeding and how did it work out? How did you stop your production as well?

I know how you feel, I just stopped this all together this week.  It was too hard for me. I will say that weaning off pumping/breastfeeding was hard and painful at times, and it took me a few weeks to fully stop.  What I did was drink Earth Mama Angel Baby No More Milk tea a few times per day for a week or so, wore cabbage leaves in my bra, and stretched out my times between pumping, and gradually shortened the time I pumped.   Little by little I stopped producing as much milk, and I was not in pain.  Let me know if you have any questions as I just did this!

I plan to stop when I got back to work in 4 weeks. I'll probably start weaning off of it in two weeks. Right now, I'm exclusively pumping. I pump 5x a day now, and plan to cut back gradually. I don't have an oversupply of milk or anything. I've gone 12 hours before and not had any issues with engorgement, so I think I'll be fine.
