PGAL Check-In --- 12/7

Re: PGAL Check-In --- 12/7

  • @jolydan and others i’ve also had stretchy pinchy feelings, definitely different from cramps, i’m noticing myself making fewer movements/stretches to avoid having them, but it probably doesn’t matter because it sounds like it’s quite normal (the snap analogy makes a lot of sense to me!)

@SaraC381 congratulations! So exciting to know :) I’m getting the harmony in two weeks!

@megstervt so sorry for all of the stressors... Glad to hear that the vaccine will work out. And i hope you can take your diclegis! I know it might be hard to keep it down, hopefully the ms will ease up a bit soon

@mnkenned oh no! that is... unpleasant to say the least... we’ve been there... there should a pregnancy book called “new adventures in the bathroom” or “how i got to know my toilet bowl”

@deepoet i’m so sorry for this hard day... hang in there, and don’t hesitate to call your doctor if you’re worried, but i know what you mean about hesitating to do so... fingers crossed that everything is ok

  • @Deepoet (((hugs))) at least you already knew that there was a bleed in there.

@jolydan I hope the infusion goes well. I don't know if it makes you feel any better or not, but DH has tons of patients at work get Remicade when they're pregnant.

@fleurdelakeview measuring behind i'm sure didn't make you feel great, but a great ultrasound absolutely is fantastic! How far along are you today?

***** what are you guys think about next week maybe we will update with how far along we are and status updates/appointments and whatnot?
  • @BostonBaby1 yeah, measuring behind gave me a shock but both the tech and the NP said everything else looked great so they were pleased and confident. It was a completely different feel than last year when I was almost 3 weeks behind and we could tell things were seriously bad. I'm 8w1d instead of 9w1d but I'm okay with it now :) my follow up in on 1/13!

    So glad to hear that!!!
  • Hey ladies!! Hope everyone is doing well! Wanted to check in, had my first appointment at 9wk2d today and everything went fantastic! She was measuring perfectly (I'm saying she cause it feels weird saying "it" and I'm being optimistic lol) had a really strong heartbeat and was wiggling around for us! Our OB has an amazing 3D ultrasound machine, so instead of the grainy pics I'm used to I was able to see tiny feet and hands, face and even her ears! So crazy! So for everyone freaking out about fluctuating or disappearing symptoms like I was, relax! It's normal and so far gummybear is perfect and healthy!

  • ***** what are you guys think about next week maybe we will update with how far along we are and status updates/appointments and whatnot?

Yes please! It would be helpful to know how far along people are! Maybe upcoming appointments/milestones too.
    -------anticipated QBF-------

LMAO... OK, proofreading would've been good for me in that situation. So I think next week we will do a status update for how far along we are, what's up next ( appointments, milestones, etc.), Rants/Raves/Symptoms.

What do you guys think about a GTKY question? I'm not creative at all of these things so if anybody has any ideas, or if you would rather not.
  • I like the idea of the check-in! GTKY depends if someone have inspiration

  • Got my results back from my prenatal panel and apparently I'm a carrier for Group B Strep. Woo. So I get to add antibiotics to my regime and I'll have to have them during labor so the baby doesn't get sick from it. Otherwise, everything is fine, so that's good! Now just slightly anxiously waiting for MaterniT21 results and my 12wk U/S a week from Monday. I'm really over this sciatica pain...anyone else having it kick in right now?

@fleurdelakeview and @LittleLunarMouse Congrats on the good ultra sounds!

@BostonBaby1 I hope your quiet Time helps with the tiredness and the stress! You sure deserve a day of Netflix in bed!

@megstervt thinking of you always! Hope no more blood tomorrow!

@LilLambie and @MamaBish thanks for the RLP info! I feel better knowing it's normal! Yesterday it was more in the groin area but today I feel the pain near the front of my pubic bone/genitalias like someone is kicking me in the crotch! I really doesn't feel like cervix pain (more external) so I'm trying to calm myself by telling me stretching is necessary

  • Hi all! I kinda went MIA for a couple of weeks from the boards. I started to develop too much anxiety reading too many posts that didn't end well, not to mention taking on stress and worry for others feeling the same way. I just needed to put it all aside and focus on myself without the outside influence on my feelings from whatever it was I may read on here. Lol! I'm so happy so many of you have continued to support each other and hang in there with all that comes with PGAL stress and anxiety.

Baby update: I had a great 8 week u/s 2 weeks ago with a good strong heartbeat. That's what ended up helping my anxiety fade over the following week. Over the last week I have been considerably better. I will be 10 weeks tomorrow and have another appt on the 21st for a regular f/u. Just trying to maintain a level head and focus on what I can handle. I think the stress of a loss has also only been per of my issue...I think I'm also scared to start over after our 7 year old son. I want another child but fear all that comes with it...hahaha! It's such a crazy bag of emotions and fears. I know all will be great no matter what, but damn...who made this so hard??? Haha!

Much love and thoughts out to you ladies!!

  • Anxiety is seriously creeping up today. My next ob appointment is on Tuesday and I find the closer it gets the more I want it to happen right now and the more I freak out. Last night I had such an ugly cry thinking about the possiblity of another mmc. I know all indications thus far have been so good but it is so easy to get myself freaked out.

Blah...spoke too soon. Now I'm trying to decide if I should continue with my plans to xmas shop today or stay home and rest.

  • @Weville (((hugs))) I know the feeling. I'm doing OK today, but my appointments on Thursday so I anticipate Monday I'll start to get nervous.

@megstervt I vote for staying home and resting. You can online shop from bed!
  • @Weville My next appointment is Tuesday as well. I have no reason to think something is wrong but it was that same ultrasound last pregnancy where they saw my baby stopped growing. I'm anxious for Tuesday to get here but also scared. to. death. Thinking of you Tuesday and praying for good ultrasounds for us both!
  • @weville & @tennisbabymama Sending you lots of calming, healing thoughts. I was there on Friday - it was the same ultrasound we found out things were bad last time. I hope you have good results just as I did to help move you through the anxiety and forward into a more hopeful place. I'll keep my fingers crossed too... Take care of yourselves - lots of relaxing, deep breathing, and positive thoughts!

  • Hey all, I haven't checked in here before (in pgal). I'm glad this thread exists and that so many have had positive apps so far, it's very comforting.

My husband and I had a mmc last fall around six weeks. This go around we are eleven weeks, which sometimes makes me feel better, but not always. We did get a positive ultrasound at 6+4 which was amazing, and we have another appt next week....

Mostly now I'm just feeling paranoid and I wish I could feel our little hummingbird fluttering around already so I'd know everything was good.

Fx for more positive appts for everyone this week!
  • @megstervt im Sorry the spotting is back. Maybe take it easy, especially if walking/standing makes it worst. I did all my Christmas shopping on Amazon because I didn't energy to go out

@Weville and @tennisbabymama praying for good appointment. I really feel your stress. I'm sad we won't get to see our baby again before Christmas/announcing. I worry it's a mmc and that we'll find out at 10+2 our next appointment that the heartbeat we saw stopped:(

@stellaluna14 welcome! It's a great support thread here

  • Thank you everyone for all the positive thoughts!! It really means a lot! I'm almost done work for the day and I'm sure being home getting spoiled by my DH will help relieve the stress

@tennisbabymama here's hoping we both having amazing Tuesday visits. My last one showed my baby had grown more than anyone I've carried so far and that felt amazing.
  • I'm 10 weeks today and hve to say that I have felt that some symptoms seem to be disappearing. My boobs are hardly sore and I'm tired I guess, but it's not the same fatigue I've had. I feel like it's super early for symptoms to be diminishing like they would in the second trimester. Anyone else have this? Just when all my other anxiety lets up now I find other things to replace it....
  • My symptoms are up and down.

@ChrissyMarie128 My NP said that around 8 weeks the placenta starts taking over so it's normal for symptoms to come and go. I felt almost normal yesterday and have felt terrible today.

  • @fleurdelakeview thanks so much. That's definitely reassuring and makes sense. Can't let the little things creep in my head. I have to keep telling myself that no matter what, at this stage in the game, I can't change anything and can't live my days in constant worry. ☺️
  • @ChrissyMarie128 My Ovia app said this week that it would be normal if symptoms started to mellow out because the placenta was taking on more of the work, I'm in week 10 also. My symptoms have also been less intense, but I'm on medicine for the nausea now so I'm never sure what's making me feel better! I wouldn't count on symptoms to know how healthy babe is at this point. It will just drive you crazy!

  • A little anxious today as I started having some brownish discharge. I know it can be perfectly normal and it's not red, so that's good, but still, any little new thing freaks me out. I'm 11wks today, the only other time I've gotten this far it was a MMC that had stopped growing at 9wks, so I'm on edge as it is. I also just started taking antibiotics yesterday for the Group B strep my OB found in my prenatal panels, so I don't know if that could have anything to do with it, but anyways. I'm nervous. Thoughts and prayers would certainly be appreciated that this is absolutely nothing.

  • Thanks girls, I think it's all good now. It went away so it might have just been irritation from the progesterone suppositories. At least I hope!

  • @megstervt Sorry that spotting has been plaguing you. It is so frustrating. Keep taking it easy and try to drink lots of water.

@winnie1122 Glad your spotting has settled down. Hopefully it stays that way.

@BostonBaby1 I like your idea for the check in with dates, appts, etc.

I have been a little MIA because of whatever they did to the app. I'm so frustrated with the app already, it's making me ragey!

My MS had settled down quite a bit but it came back pretty strong this weekend. I woke up and was pretty sick in the middle of the night last night and my cough seems to be worse again. Those things together with my friable cervix gave me a pretty significant amount of bleeding today. I'm trying to drink more water and take it easy but even though I know that there are reasons for my bleeding it is so unsettling to see so much red blood. I was able to find baby's HB on the Doppler so that was a little comforting but I'm trying really hard to relax and not let it get in my head.
  • Sending lots of (((hugs))) to everyone who needs them.
  • Good luck for those going in for ultrasound this week :)

PGAL brain is so hard. I'm having all possible symptoms under the sun (even puking with diclegis) and I still think at least 5 times a day I'm having a mmc (for no reason...)
