Wondfos getting lighter :(

I took my first test Thursday and got a very faint positive, and a darker more definite positive on Friday morning with SMU. I've taken tests on Saturday, Sunday, and today since then, and it seems like they're getting lighter. I still haven't gotten a test as dark as the control line, and Friday tested negative on a digital. Friday was 16dpo so I think I implanted late, and I'm worried this is a chemical. I'm wondering if I should call my gyn to get a blood draw, or just wait it out a week or two and see what happens. I know CPs are common and there's nothing that can be done, but this is still a big disappointment, and I'm not really sure what I should do at this point.

I would personally call and ask to do a blood draw, just so I had more of an idea what was going on. Or just call and ask what they recommend. I hope all is well!

I am so sorry you are experiencing this. I would call your doctor to get a blood test. If you are experiencing a chemical pregnancy, it's good to make your doctor aware. I truly wish you the best of luck.

Thank you for the advice and support ladies. I called my doctor and made an appointment for a blood draw scheduled Wednesday (soonest they could see me), so I guess we'll just see what happens then, but I'm trying to prepare myself for the strong possibility that this one might not stick. This stinks.

@housewifehobbyist mine did the same thing and it was barely visible for almost a week getting lighter each time. Then at 18DPO, it started getting darker. Hopefully it's the same for you, prayers!

The line can get lighter for other reasons, like more diluted urine for instance.

Just be prepared for anything, and know that if it's chemical, there's nothing you did wrong. This happened to me in October and I was devastated, but it does get better. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this isn't a CP.

that's crap. tell them to call your blood draw into Lab Corp or wherever. there is no need to do it in office.

I am on the side of only ever taking one pregnancy test. Once it is positive, put down the sticks! Even the same box of sticks can have different sensitivities, your pee can be diluted, etc etc. It is a total mind game.

That probably explains why my super diluted pee stick results are darker than my FMU pee results! Altough both are still pretty dark and instant.

Thank you for the support ladies. I started bleeding today so I guess an August baby is not in the cards for me. I took a personal day from work and let myself be sad and I'll be drinking all the wine this weekend before starting ttc again.
