**Question**
Does anyone have any suggestions for websites that sell reasonably priced NFL Jerseys? DH has a Ray Rice jersey that he got years ago and now won't where it for obvious reasons.
@iceandsnowflakes29 A go pro is such a good idea! DH has been saying we should get one as well but I too see us using it on Christmas Day and then never again. We are going on vacation in February so maybe we could use it then! Would need the waterproof case though so there's more money.

I got him a cashmere scarf (he's a scarf guy, and I found a fabulous deal for 100% cashmere for $25, made by a local crafter. Win!) Ski boots as his "big" gift (he needed them) and a shirt woot of an avocado, cut in half, that says "you complete me" and a pair of Thai "Lucky Cats."
I also got him jeans from Old Navy, and Gap. But he tore his favorite pair (which the Old Navy jeans were going to replace) so he got them early, since he needed them.
I always go a little overboard for him for Christmas because we're so far from his family. At best his parents will send him an amazon gift card... if they remember.
Well, he's definitely not getting a BFP at this point!
I'm getting him another year of my support with this whole "doing a startup" thing? No, I don't even really want to think about it... sigh. It's going to be another crazy year on that front.
Honestly, we're spending so much on our flights to spend the holiday with his parents, and we're going on another trip in February, and he doesn't like presents anyway, so I imagine we won't exchange any this year. *shrug* Kind of a bummer because I generally LOVE Christmas, but I'm also sort of alright with it. I'm not so much feeling the holiday spirit right now.

I got DH a wallet which he asked for so he knows he's getting it. I am thinking of getting him something he wont expect but I haven't decided what yet.
I'm having a super hard time deciding what to get DH. We're remodeling our basement in January so I was hoping that would be our present to each other, but he came out with "well, there are a couple of things I wanted to get you". I told him yesterday again we shouldn't exchange gifts, he looked kind of bummed. I told him I was having a hard time with him this year and needed hints, he said "well, the only thing I really want is a Surface Pro and new ear buds".
A new tablet is out of the question this year with the new basement, but ear buds? Sure, I can do that. Now I just have to find something else... these are great ideas, ladies. I'm a little late to the game, but keep 'em coming if you got 'em.

I have a go pro and we use it on vacay a ton and make vacation montage videos. It's so fun to go back and watch them. The go pro comes with a waterproof case as part of the package in the box so I didn't have to buy that separate.
He just got a nice squat rack/bench/weights for his B-day in October so I'm only getting him small stuff for X-mas. So far I've gotten him undies, TARDIS cufflinks, and a GOT sword letter opener (the poor man can't open an envelope to save his life, so it's a fun and practical gift!) I might pick up a few more things, but I'm not sure yet.
We're getting a new Apple TV. Not exciting, but whatever. He's hard to shop for because he shops so well for himself, so I'm OK with it.
Totally exciting! The new ones are awesome!
We've had a lot of expensive stuff crop up in life lately, and have a trip coming up too, so we're reducing our Christmas present effort this year. H has been eyeing a subscription service called Bespoke Post (it's basically fancy dude stuff) so I think I'll get him a month of that. We also do stockings. I usually fill his with canned nuts and beef jerky. I'm allergic to nuts, so he's deprived at home. He brings the sealed cans to work to keep me safe.
Well...I feel lame for this. I always make DH's gifts. Last year I made him a set of glasses out of Corona bottles (since we were going to Puerto Vallarta for our honeymoon). The year before that I made him a Steeler's fleece blanket. This year, I'm doing a year of pre-planned monthly dates to different restaurants around town. We're going to try a bunch of different ethnic foods so it's going to be like a "Around the World in a Year" theme. I guess that's weird, but he's super hard to buy for.

@MRSCORKER - Thanks for that. I'm a teacher, I don't get paid enough for fancy gifts for DH. I have to make due with what I've got. DH always sweetly reminds me that he'd rather have the homemade gifts.
He says he wants baby books to teach him to be a good dad, but we already have what to expect the first year, and I kinda feel that this is our last xmas without kids, so we should do stuff that's just for us... and maybe stuff we can't do without kids.
but i can't find any bands coming to town he'd want to see.
and we're trying to save up vacation days for the baby. and it's not like i can go out drinking or mountain biking.
We always manage to give each other quite a few gifts at Christmas even after we had kids. We like to have cool gadgets and toys to play with too. DH is getting a Lego Architecture set of the Trevi Fountain, Nintendo 3DS w/ Legend of Zelda, Beer dispensing thing and a new electric shaver.

All that is the opposite of lame. It is fantastic, and creative, and really sweet. I wish I had that kind of imagination.

I think this is a GREAT idea! I'm not clever or crafty or creative at all and envy people who are. Nice job!
@BerkeBaby - No, but seriously, if you could just share some of that craftiness, that would be lovely. I wish I had the skills to do that kind of stuff!
Our first Christmas as a couple I created a little gift basket filled with some things I thought he would like. The next year I got him a grill. Last year we didn't exchange gifts since money was so tight (our wedding was in Feb), and this year I'm planning on getting him a nice cigar or three.
He's so tough to shop for because he likes things that are really expensive, really specific (as in he wants to test drive it and comparison shop before deciding) or his mother gets it for him before I do. This year we were going to buy a snowblower and call it a day, but his mom already gave us one!
@PoodleDoodleOoo - that's why I had to start getting creative with gifts. His mom buys whatever he wants so I have to be more thoughtful with my gifts!
@DarthFuriosa, @Tippy05, and @izza2, I get most of my ideas from Pinterest. I spend a TON of time on there looking for lesson plan ideas and always manage to find ideas for other things that I really like. I always change it up a bit to adjust for how much I keep learning about him. I wish I could take credit for it all. Thanks for helping me feel less lame.
So many things I wish I could buy for SO, but I'll likely end up getting him a wallet, pj pants, & new electric shaver with shaving cream, loufa, guitar picks, beef jerky, Reese's, and warm socks for stocking stuffers. I'd love to set him up with a new electric guitar and amp but I just don't see it in the budget.
DH basically knows everything he's getting from me, which is lame. He was at the store to try everything on! He's practically getting an entire new wardrobe, down to the socks, and a few small tools. I'm a little jealous, I want new clothes
@BerkeBaby - I remember when we used to give homemade gifts, they are so special and fun! I'm not creative though. Even with Pinterest I'm hopeless!
@PoodleDoodleOoo - I always have to tell my MIL don't buy that, or I already bought that, otherwise she'd do the same.
A Glock. I have a new gun and we are taking classes at the range together and I don't want to share, lol. Also getting a him a new pistol safe and some additional training classes. Classin' it up this year;)
We haven't exchanged for a few years now. We sponsored a family at DH's work and spent a lot so we said that would count as our gifts. Honestly I feel so lucky that it was nice to spend money on someone who really needs it instead of things we can buy any time of the year.
A newer keurig, a k cup holder and a new wallet. He got me a new pots and pans set and we went to the mall today and he bought me something else.. I think from victoria secret
I literally have no idea what to get mine - why do I always leave it so late....I also find it hard b/c I earn more than him. I'm always tempted to go absolutely nuts and spoil him rotten but he has set a budget and I feel like I would make him feel bad if I went over it (jeez, first world problems, right??)
@MRSCORKER - I might steal your pre-planned dates idea. I love that!
So we have done very small for years. I just found this and it is $55, I love it and think he will too, but is it worth it? Even if I do order it I don't know if it will come in time for Christmas...
@jhems776 You could always save it as a cute Valentine's Day present if it arrives after Christmas. I've never seen anything like that - really like it
We try so hard to stick to not buying gifts but it never works.
I got him Fallout 4 and some Philadelphia Flyers car mats to match the other ones I got him for his birthday. (I found them on Groupon!) I also ordered him some Gaurdians of am the Galaxy stuff. We're big nerds in our house if you can't tell lol.
Countdown to Baby H! Mommy to Elizabeth (6/18/09), preemie at 34 weeks
Seems as if it's a popular gift.. Lol I got my DH the sphero BB-8 He is a huge nerd and literally has a Star Wars shirt for every day of the week lol I also got him a few other small things!
DH is just getting few small gifts this year, since we're hoping to take a vacation together this spring.

Took me forever, but I finally decided. I'm getting him the expansion packs for Cards Against Humanity, and a nice splurge bottle of Scotch. Not Blue Label or anything, but probably something in the $100ish range.
I know zip about scotch, so if anyone has recommendations I'd love to have them!

If you are getting Cards Against Humanity, check out this wooden sorting box from the Broken Token: https://www.thebrokentoken.com/kit-for-humanity/ It's wonderful if you end up with a tonne of expansions, and want to switch up which ones you play with.
Actually, anyone into board games should bookmark that site. It is beautiful.

I've organized all of our Carcassonne pieces in a crafting bead box, lol. The boxes from that site are much nicer looking. Of course even if we do get snazzy boxes for everything we will still keep the original boxes, because you never know. Like how the Bigger Blacker Box from CAH has a secret card in the top. Wouldn't rip open the box to get it, but I like knowing it's there.
So DH got home last night and proudly announced that he has done ALL his Christmas shopping for me, but has blown our agreed budget by x2 and has a "theme"!! I have done zero shopping so will be facing mall chaos early next week - with minimal ideas re: what I'm actually going to get! Agggh. Roll on Christmas Day when we can just relax Anyone else still on zero gifts???
@DarthFuriosa and @Lulucooks Your board game chat made me really happy. I love broken token. I want to get one for my Castles of Mad King Ludwig game.
I actually got DH a board game called Viticulture. It's a work replacement game about making wine. I also got him a book for the Pathfinder RPG game we play and Oblivion and Sky Rim. We're having an uber-geeky Christmas this year.
