Should we keep the daily symptoms thread or nix it?

There's a very civil discussion about his on the U/O thread for today. Some like the daily symptoms thread, and for various reasons, some don't. What do you think?

I chose Option 3: Keep the daily symptoms thread as a symptoms thread - not as a GTKY thread. And let that live as long as people want to vent. EDIT: But I don't know why I vote - because I don't care as long as people are happy and posting :-) Long live June 2016!

I'm with @NicknShan totally cool with the thread, but just make it about symptoms and not all the GTKY.

Ditto @NicknShan. Keep both but I would like to see ticker and symptoms be very different because I opened them both the other day and they looked identical to me lol.

I like the thread- it's consistent so it's a nice way to actually get to know some of the people on here. It seems to be the same people posting most of the time so it's kinda nice.

I personally love the thread & how it's laid out. I find the rant/rave section to be a really great way to get to know everyone, since that's where everyone shares the good & bad things going on with them that day (appointments, annoying things that have happened personally and/or professionally, etc). It's nice, & comforting to be able to both give & receive support from a group of ladies who understand, & to do it without having to create an entirely separate thread each time. 

We're all entitled to our opinions...this one just happens to be mine.

Keep it but rename it. It's called waiting for baby (wfb) in other places. I didn't even open it the first three weeks that I was pregnant since I didn't have symptoms.

I personally really like that format because you get to know people but it's not all focused on things like morning sickness, although you can talk about it if you want. I left out that there's a section for questions in case you want to ask others something. Then it's easy if you're scrolling through.

I'm all for whatever people want! I like that format too. There wasn't really a format to begin with, so I just went with what seemed fitting.

It was my favourite thread!  It really helped me to see what others were going through and what I could look forward to in coming weeks.

Here is what I'm proposing:

1. We keep the daily thread - those that would rather only participate on their ticker change day, go for it. 

2. We rename the thread to "Daily Checkin" or something along those lines.

3. We modify the format slightly to something like this:

How far along are you?

How are you feeling?

What are you doing to get ready for baby?

Rants/Raves:

GTKY:
Questions?

Thoughts? Suggestions? People can still post separate GTKY threads - we've always done that and I think it's great. I don't think the format being similar to the Ticker Change thread matters too much since the ticker change doesn't involve everyone on a daily basis, but this isn't my show so let me know what you guys think!

Here is my thought. Obviously there are people that like it. So keep it. If you don't want to participate then don't. It's as simple as that.

Brilliant. I second this. I should add that I originally voted against the daily symptom thread, but everyone saying they missed them and giving the reasons why made me change my mind. I would participate in what @mrsschmity is proposing above. Excellent idea/compromise.

I'm not against it at all, just noting that it seems pretty much the same as the symptoms thread but with "feeling" instead of "symptoms" and even more questions to answer. Maybe add *answer whichever ones you want! A lot of times I wouldn't do the symptoms one because I couldn't commit to answering all the questions, haha. Maybe by 2nd tri I'll have enough energy to not get intimidated by 4-5 question threads, ha.
