Monday my babies were diagnosed as being in stage one twin-to-twin transfusion. While the doctor tried to sound positive I did a quite a bit of research and discovered that the long term outcomes are not often good. I'm trying so hard to stay positive but I'm just feeling so overwhelmed. Does anybody have any experience with this that may be able to shed some light on the prognosis and what all to expect ?

OMG NSKirk it's amazing to me nobody has responded yet. Twin Twin in stage one has a reasonable chance of Self Resolution. Many have reported that increasing dietary intake of protein to 100g/day, often using raw Whey Powder, can help the stage one TTTS case & maximize it's chances of Self Resolution. You also can & should monitor Progression utilizing a digital scale, Weigh yourself daily & log it, and if more than 2# of weight gain occurs in 24 hours, call your medical team & get Fresh Sono that day if at all possible.

Is this common practice (weighing yourself daily) with mo/di twins? I'm having mo/di twins. I'm 22 weeks tomorrow and haven't been told to do this but I saw another person post about it.
What is the concern with the +2lb weight gain day to day? thanks!

I'm sorry I can't offer any help. I'm 20 weeks with mono/di twins myself and go in next week for them to start monitoring for TTTS. How far along are you now when they said you're at stage one? I'm also curious about the weighing yourself, I haven't heard that either.

I know this is an old post, but curious what the outcomes were. I am 20 weeks with mono/di girls. Up until yesterday I was told the twins were di/di, a big mistake by my doctor. Not only did that news just shock me but also found out I have the early signs of TTTS, the fluid levels are borderline normal and now have to do an ultrasound every week.

At @cnb4hf if you haven't started seeing a specialist I would start immediately. I have been going every two weeks since 19 weeks and am expecting mono/di twins in August. I have not experienced any TTTS with mine thus far by know some who have and the odds have been very good if caught early. I would highly recommend joining the mono/di Facebook group and or a TTTS Facebook group. There is a lot of information that comes through there. The mono/di group has been extremely helpful for me so far!
