3rd Trimester

35 weeks.., & don't need to wee! Is there's something wrong?

So on every site going it says frequent toilet trips will be keeping you up all night or don't plan any long journeys without services station stops, but I'm the complete opposite I'm barely going! I keep upping my water intake but with no real change in weeing.
I know I should be grateful that I'm getting away with it but just after a bit or reassurance or if anyone has had the same and I should get checked.
I'm 35 weeks and baby is currently breech.
Thanks for reading :)

  • First and second boys I had to pee all the time.  This one not so much.  I have days where I do have tons of urgency but those are few and far between.  All pregnancies are different.

  • How much water are you drinking? It's possible that it's a lot for you, but still not enough. If when you are peeing your urine isn't too dark (there are charts online with images of colors) you should be fine.

You can say urinate (vs. wee). We are all adults here.

When you do urinate-- is the color almost clear or at least a light yellow? I would be concerned with kidney function, but that

  • It may depend on how much urine you are excreting during one bathroom trip. If your water levels are as high as you say they are, do you find you are urinating a lot in one trip? I am 36 weeks and currently urinating extremely tiny amounts every 30 minutes or so. This is because of how baby is positioned on my bladder, making me have to go, even when my bladder isn't full. I'm not urinating more than usual, just more often. If you are emptying a full bladder each time, it could be that your baby just isn't in a position to irritate your bladder.

You're a lucky one! Enjoy it.
  • Lucky you! I feel like I'm going a billion times during the day, and then another billion at night. Lol!
  • It could depend on soda or caffiene intake. Especially if its more then your water intake. Your body could be dehydrated a little amd your just use to it so you don't notice it. Just a thought.
  • If baby is breech it is possible you don't have as much pressure on your bladder. Once babe is head down and in the pelvis then you feel it and urinate constantly. This could explain it?

Omg this is so true for me. At 20 weeks my LO was breech so I was going my usual amount of times. Now that she flipped to head down, I feel like I have to go every minute of the day.

  • Are you retaining water (swelling)?

I'm with PP with the only concern being kidney function. Otherwise, it likely is baby's position and/or the amount you're going each trip.
