Stomach bug

Okay ladies, I was just wondering if the stomach virus could affect the unborn baby. I'll be 25 weeks Friday, and do not currently have the virus but I work with kids and many of our teachers have had it already. So can it cause harm to baby?

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the concerns would be fever and dehydration. Have you had the flu shot? If you doo get sick if call your ob.

    As far as I know, the concern is mainly dehydration. Fever is a worry too but only if it gets high and/or can't be brought down.

    Hello! I had the stomach flu 2 weeks ago. I did end up in the ER because I became quickly dehydrated as I couldn't keep anything down.. I started havin frequent Braxton hicks contractions as well because of the dehydration. As soon as I got IV fluid I was fine and baby was fine the whole time. The doctor said the virus itself will not harm the baby. Wash wash wash your hands!

    I had it while pregnant with my 4 year old and again this time. I needed an IV both times for fluid. No other issues related.
