I don't smoke or drink, but does anyone else vape? What are your thoughts on vaping (zero nicotine) during pregnancy.

Looking at the NHS website, the guidance is that pregnant mothers should not vape because most vape products are unregulated and insufficient testing has been done on impact on fetal development. They also list that being around others who vape shouldn't be an issue as the predominant output of someone vaping is gaseous water.

Vape cartridge manufacturers aren't regulated or required to list their ingredients; it's considered a "superior alternative" to cigarette smoking by pregnant mothers, but is still not recommended.

(Not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.)

I just quit smoking a couple weeks ago (prior to FET), but there are a lot of people who smoke throughout their pregnancies.  There are some doctors (definitely not mine) that will tell you that if you can't quit, to cut back as much as possible. Not that I agree with any of that, but I'm going to say that if the "flavored water" (that's awesome, by the way) is your alternative, check with your doctor and go for it.

Haha. Yes. I've only been experimenting with this app a little on and off so I havent made any other posts. I'm definitely happy with the fact that I can connect with others due the same month as me, and will be checking in more frequently. I'd asked about vaping just because I was concerned. My husband and I both vaped before. He still does. I'm guessing it's not as popular for you all as in it in our area and neck of the woods. Just curious if anyone had any stories/experiences with combining the two ornjust being around it in general.

It's actually quite common around here, but never heard of vaping without nicotine. Around here it's an alternative to cigarettes. So back to my original question. Are you basically smoking flavored water?

I guess you could call it that. There's no added chemicals or nicotine. Everything its made of could be bought at whole foods.

I would ask your doctor. I am going to guess they will want your to quit, but I suppose you never know.
