OK me and my husband is TTC and we have been trying for over a year. I went to my OB and they have always told me(since I was 13) that my periods were always irregular because I was too skinny. So I then seen another doctor once we started TTC and he performed an ultrasound and found out I had PCOS. He immediately started me on Metformin and Clomid and Progesterone. I am taking metformin twice a day 500mg. Then I started the progesterone to get my periods regulated, then day 5-9 of my menstrual I would take clomid. I have been on all the meds since July. My husband also went and got tested and they said his sperm motility is low (33%). We keep getting bad news after bad news and I’m trying to see if anyone else is having similar problems. I feel like I’m just running into circles and since I have started this medicine I have also had two cyst rupture as well, two different monthsL My husband was referred to a urologist to get another exam done but he is a truck driver and with him being gone he has not yet made it for the second exam. I have to go back to my OB to get blood work done tomorrow to see if I am O. Everyone around me is getting pregnant all my best friend have kids or expecting. Both my sisters never had any issues having kids etc. I am just devastated at this point and my husband is trying his best to comfort me as much as he can. He keeps saying it will happen when it is supposed to happen but that is the last thing I want to hear at this point!!!Please let me know if you can relate and your input on the situation.
Thanks in advance!

We're just reaching the 2yr TTC mark & thankfully have had proper monitoring on clomid, as like you, I have crazy long cycles. Got another two cycles to try before they move us into something else (I'm in the UK, so slightly different over here).
If you're feeling unsure about anything, make a list of questions for your next appointment and make sure you know what you're taking and why, otherwise you'll feel out of your depth before you've begun.
Message me if you want to chat. X
Past Treatment: Clomid + Metformin x 3 BFN
Letrozole 5 mg + Trigger shot + IUI = BFP!
Beta confirmed 8/22
EDD 5/1/17
Care under the city hospital is mostly done by nurses who take care of your treatment & run anything else past the professor if needed.
The main difference is that it's free, therefore you have less say in what actually happens as its all paid for (IVF is a way off for us yet, but that's a postcode lottery. Which means depending where you live depends whether it's funded or not!)
Hope that helps! X

I'm also on Metformin, and like you, I've gone down to the lowest dose (it totally upsets my stomach).
One thing I wanted to say, I read in a scholarly article that clomid doesn't work as well on people with PCOS. You should ask your doctor about Letrozole, it's the same idea, but more effective with patients with PCOS and less likely to thin your uterine lining.
And one more thing... Yes, it does feel like everyone around me is pregnant or has a newborn. The hardest part for me is that most of them have been 'accidents'
Hang in there, this is one area where persistence can pay off!
and yah seems like everyone is popping out the kiddos, I had to cut wayyyyy back on my social media because it was making me crazy.
TTC since January 2015.
No period since going off the pill at that time.
Still playing the waiting, homeopathic game but starting to consider other options and maybe if a "diagnosis" is in order.
