I have! My son did not take any bottles, he is EBF and grandma bought him a training sippy cup and he loves it and prefers it over bottles. It's a training sippy cup for 4 months and up called Vital baby, it was $5. Grandma bought it at Giant but you can also order it online at vitalbabyusa.com. It comes in different colors, we have the blue one though. Also you can choose the kind of flow that you want between no spill or free flow. I hope this helps! Good luck!
Anyone else have luck with sippy cups? My LO doesn't have much interest in them, but then again I haven't tried that hard. We have the Munchkin transition sippy and nuby. I am trying to get him to start drinking a little water. Tips? Tricks? Advice?
We have both the Nuby transition cup and the Tommee Tippee ones for 7mo+. I definitely prefer the TT ones. I have had problems with the Nuby leaking unless you screw the top on incredibly tight. We put water in them and give them to him when he is in the high chair eating solids. I make sure he is the one holding the cup but I will sometimes help him tip it back to get the water to come out. It has been a slow transition, but he's starting to get the hang of it and slowing being able to tip the cup back on his own more and more. We haven't used them beyond the high chair yet though. Hope this helps a little.
I was literally wondering about this this morning. We have a super cute little Tervis sippy cup that was given to us but the mouth part is a little hard. I have been wondering about the TT transition and will probably get one, we use TT bottles but LO didnt seem to like the Tervis. I will save it for later when he is more used to a sippy cup.
We introduced a sippy cup right at 6 months. He def likes the Tommie Tippee ones best. He is slowly getting the hang of it, but still has a ways to go before I would say he knows what he is doing and can knowingly drink from it on his own. He only gets it in his highchair.
My LO took to a sippy Cup pretty well. I admit I've been pretty inconsistent with giving it to her. I need to get better at it so that she can get more used to it.
My lo loves sippys. If you are having a hard time with them try the silicone ones. Mine doesn't do good with the hard spouts. I only put juice in it too so it was a treat when he first started with them.
We had a nuby and lo couldnt get anything out of it. I got a mam transition cup for 4+ months and he loves it. Still spill proof but easier for him to actually get some water.
We randomly received a couple sippy cups in the mail a couple weeks ago. No idea who sent them to us. They were Red Sox (we're in MA), but we're not really baseball fans. We're huge on football, so if it was any of the grandparents, they would have bought us Patriots.
The ones we got are not really friendly to 7mo hands. We're planning on picking up some of the Avent ones with handles because we've been using Avent bottles, so I think it will make an easier transition than switching to a new brand.
