Re: ***3rd tri check in 11/30/15***

  • Another week down!!!!!
My appointments Wednesday and today went well, the countdown is on! Only 2 or 3 more weeks left, depending on how early they want to take them out. So real!

QOTW - Our house is completely decorated for the season and will remain this way until February as we are hosting a late Christmas for DH's side at the end of January.
I'm looking forward to creating more traditions with our little ones. I'd love to have matching Christmas pjs every year and continue to decorate our tree every black Friday while watching Home Alone.

  • So excited to be joining the final checkin!! Add me at the bottom! I am 28 weeks with a baby girl! Due 2-21-16, but hoping she takes after her brothers and comes early!

I have an u/s 12-15 to check my placenta previa, at the last one it had moved but a couple of blood vessels were very active and close to the cervix so we have still been on pelvic rest and DH is so ready for that to be over!

QOTW: we do an elf, pretty much the same insane travel schedule each year, the basic cookies for Santa/stockings and decorations are UP!! I have more I could put up, but i am already dreading taking it all down!

  • @suchaglencoco - Wow, so soon!!  How exciting :)  Glad the app'ts are going well.
    @jeannaqueena - Welcome to 3rd tri!

Nothin' new to report here, next app't is still 2 weeks away.  Still being good about keeping my steps down to 10-12K per day.  Sleep is still elusive, I've once again tried the pregnancy pillow that was such a life-saver during my 1st pregnancy but it's still completely useless and uncomfortable this time around.  So frustrating. DH has been so understanding and supportive, and I am really grateful.  Per my other thread, I just tonight received my adult coloring book and fine-tip markers (colored pencils arrive tomorrow) so we'll see if that helps with the stress relief.

We're Jewish, so the "holiday season" is way less of a big deal for us - Chanukah is a minor holiday, and we don't decorate for it at all.  I may finally get an electric menorah to put in the window, but that would be about it.  I look forward to having Yoda (and DD1) learning and singing the Chanukah songs and blessings with us.  And I'd love to start a tradition of giving *back*, instead of giving *gifts*, for at least one of the 8 nights.
    Me: 37 | DH: 38 | Married 9/2012, low AMH, high FSH
    First-ever BFP after IUI #4 (Follistim) - Baby Girl born (36w2d) 8/8/2014!

  • Hi and welcome to our two new 3rd tri-ers!

Nothing much new here either. After last weeks scare, that is just fine with me. I have my 34 wk appt next Tuesday, so hoping everything stays calm until then.
Baby shower is this weekend! I'm grateful but also hate being the center of attention, so hopefully it's not too nerve wracking. My friends are great so I'm sure it will be fun.

QOTW: we aren't decorated yet, but I would like to get the tree up this week. We don't do much decor beyond that at the moment. I'm looking forward to holiday movies and Christmas morning with the little one. We always make a big breakfast and stay in pjs all day. We also usually get dressed and go out to a movie with some friends in the evening (20 years running) but I think this year might be the end of that for a while.
  • Hey ladies! I'm 30wks and some days, chugging along. Some days I feel like I hit the wall and I'm done and over being pregnant- other days I feel pretty fine, and I am hoping the next few weeks go by slowly.

We have a small tree for DD (4) and that is about all the holiday cheer I can stand. No traditions.

  • We just got back from our trip yesterday, so haven't had time to decorate yet. I've been pretty tired lately at 31 weeks, so I may scale the festivities back to manageable levels. DH was caught cleaning up his closet and going through some of his boxes. I was suspicious and had to confront the entity posing as my husband. Lol. I think just maybe the nursery will get done before his son gets here. As for appointments, this week is breastfeeding class and my 1 month checkup with my OB is next week.
  • @suchaglencoco I LOVE matching pjs!!! My boys (4.5 and 2) still tolerate them!! I can't wait next year to have 3 in matching Jammie's.....oh no! Now I feel the need for some for February for first night at home!! Off to shop!

@marnief thanks for the welcome and I have a friend who LOVES hers!!

  • I am in OB triage getting a non stress test because I hadn't felt the babies move all morning. Everything is looking good and the heart beat sensors have them Going like gymnasts in there. My official next appointment is dec 9 and I have an ultrasound then too.

Christmas tradition- I want to bake and decorate sugar cookies like I did growing up using my grandmas recipe with my girls.
  • @hopes4baby - glad you got things checked out and that everything seems to be good!

  • Was amazing how well they aimed their punches, kicks, movements right at the sensors. Good coordination and aim
  • @hopes4baby just wait they will do this to you for the rest of your life!!

The other day a woman in line commented how good my 2 boys were being. I was in the middle of saying we were leaving the store early bc they were fighting in the isles and I look down and they are hugging and kissing each other!! Kids will never preform when you want them too and you will worry everyday about them. I am SOOOOO glad yours are kicking those sensors and y'all are all ok!! I hate that stress and definitely have those moments too of freak out!! You were right to go in so don't feel embarrassed!! Good mama already!!

  • Hello!!! 34w4d ..... The finish line feels very muc in sight!!!

Yesterday I felt that feeling which I didn't expect to feel.... I wanted this baby out! My body has gone down a gear, everything just kind of hurts now.

We also made a trip down to the hospital for exactly the same reason as @hopes4baby my little guy didn't move all evening so at 1am we went down to hospital and sure enough I hooked up to the monitor and he thumped it! I felt really silly, I was telling the midwife I have been waiting all night for him to do that!!! The staff were so good though they told me I absolutely should have come in and I was on the monitor for 30 mins. They were insisting that if I didn't feel him again to do the same thing, better to be safe.

Christmas for my husband and I has never really been consistent as we have never celebrated Christmas in the same place. We came up with one tradition was making up a 12 days of Christmas song but based on the country we are in! This will be the first one that we are in UK. We are spending it with my dad and two of my brothers. I'm looking forward to playing games with them as they are a nutty lot and I can imagine we will have some fun in the Xbox dance game. Last time we all played a number of years ago stil goes down as one of our funiest family memories. Hoping to recreate!
  • Glad everything went well @somewhereinafrica
  • Congratulations @suchaglencoco!!!!! So happy for you and I just know those little ones will be out of the nicu before you know it.
