11/30 PGAL Check-In

Re: 11/30 PGAL Check-In

  • Finished ultrasound check up and all was well! Baby's heart was actively beating around 166bpm! Measuring at 9 weeks exactly so still behind my LMP date but I guess the long cycles can really throw things off. Now I just wait to hear the Dr's version of the U/S.

@megstervt I hear you. I honestly don't know if the fear will ever NOT be an issue for me. Every. Little. Thing makes me think something could be wrong!!

  • I know it sounds terrible but I don't read them. I support and pray for each and every person and I really get it, I know how it feels, we all do. But for me, in this pregnancy, I can't live in fear. I have enough to worry about getting myself and my babies in one piece to the second trimester, and I can't allow myself to wallow in my "what if I'm next" mindset that I would have if I did read them. They have my support, my condolences, and all of my heartfelt sadness for their loss, but I can't let myself get caught up in it. I'm having a hard enough time not stressing over progesterone, vaginal discharge, and hcg levels.

  • Hi everyone, I'm checking in for the first time. My mc was in late August this year around 6 weeks, and we were shocked to get pregnant again so soon. Had my first US today and am measuring behind (5+6 instead of 7) but I have 5 week cycles so I'm not surprised and we saw a great heartbeat! I took the option of going in again in 2 weeks to make sure he's growing ok. I've been having crazy dreams like a lot of you and had a miscarriage one last week so trying not to let it get to my head
  • @mnkenned Congratulations on your quick pregnancy and good signs for your rainbow baby!! That's great!
  • I'm reading everything, just being a little quiet. Like @megstervt said all the losses makes me nervous. Praying for everyone before bed every day.

  • @mnkenned Welcome! I'm sorry for your loss but congrats on your new pregnancy. You're definitely in the right place. All the ladies on this thread have experienced a loss and it's really helpful to lean on each other when the nerves get to be to much. Like you, I had a mc in mid September and was suprised to be pregnant again so soon. Very grateful though. Keep staying strong!!
  • Fx for great u/s today for those going in!
  • @BostonBaby1 How are you feeling today?!
  • @BostonBaby1 How are you feeling today?!

Nervous! (What's new? - lol.) u/s tomorrow afternoon. How are you doing today?
  • @BostonBaby1 hope you are feeling better. Sending prayers for a good ultrasound and a strong heartbeat tomorrow. After your rough year I really hope this is your take home baby. Sending big creepy internet hugs your way

I had an unexpected ultrasound today. We have a heartbeat of 110. I had to go in because I started having tremors 2 days ago and with my history of hyperthyroid they wanted to have it check. But they decided to do the whole new OB patient appointment, and the doctor said he wanted to have a viability ultrasound because last week we only had a yolk/gestational sac. I freaked out because DH wasn't there with me, good thing he works 5 minutes away so doctor let me called him and he joined me for the ultrasound.

Praying for everyone. Past few days have been hard stress wise and just reading you help.

  • @BostonBaby1 Praying for a good ultrasound tomorrow! I was super nervous before mine too (who's kidding, I still am!) Sending good thoughts your way. Try to relax the best you can.

@jolydan Sounds like quite the day!! How did your ultrasound turn outt? Were you able to spy anything yet? It's so tough that early. Congrats on a heartbeat! :) keep staying strong!!
  • @tennisbabymama not much to see! The little flutter and peanut, but that was more than I expected/ever prayed for! Technician was happy especially since last week my gestational sac was sitting a little low in my uterus. She told me last week not to worry and as of today it was back exactly where it's suppose to be!

  • @jolydan That's wonderful news! Congrats!!
  • Thanks ladies. And how exciting @jolydan!
  • @jolydan congrats!!

I went in for my first appointment yesterday and they did bloodwork. The nurse called today and said my hormone levels are excellent and I am clear to keep my US appointment for the 14th! Now to just get through the next week and half until we can finally see our little nugget.

    Thinking of you all!
  • Great news @jolydan!!

Fx for a great appointment tomorrow @BostonBaby1!

I am trying my best to think positive and focus on the fact that today I am pregnant. Please let me make it past 6 weeks this time! Soon I will meditate again with LO and hopefully that will help calm my nerves.

  • Good morning girls. I hardly slept last night out of anticipation. My first ultrasound is in 2 hours and I'm a nervous wreck. My first pregnancy in July ended upon discovering my MMC at my first ultrasound. I know every pregnancy is different, but I had a terrible introduction to ultrasounds so I won't be happy til it's over. Wish me luck.

  • Freaking out today. My symptoms disappeared over night, which is what happened last time. I've read that it's plenty normal for symtoms to come and go, especially around the 8 week mark where I am, but I can't help stressing over it. I'm making an appointment for tomorrow but I can't help but feel like something Is wrong. My boobs have kinda been my reassurance because they were SO sore I could barely touch them, and now they're very very very mildly sore. Like barely at all. I'm going to try and stay positive till I have answers, it's just really hard and super scary :/

Oh sweetheart... This is when PGAL mind really gets to us. Of course, we know that the placenta starts to take over the hormone load at eight weeks. But losing symptoms to us is fairly horrific. I'm glad that you are going to be able to get in tomorrow and please know that there are so many thoughts and prayers heading your direction. Hopefully this is just the natural progression. Please check in with us during the day and let us know how you're doing emotionally? Sending so many (((Hugs)))

  • @LittleLunarMouse sending prayers your way. I noticed that my symptoms are usually mild in the morning (especially boobs) and tend to get worse during the day.

@BostonBaby1 and @nkyokley good ultrasounds for you 2! Keep us posted! It's so nerve wrecking US days.

  • @jolydan Congrats on the good ultrasound!

@BostonBaby1 Good luck today! Fingers crossed for you.

@AL_TwinCities Yes, thanks for the suggestion about meditation. I've been doing it as well when I'm feeling anxious and it's helped a lot. I used to do it a lot when I worked at a really stressful job to ease my anxiety night but I had kind of forgotten about it.

@LittleLunarMouse I had a very similar feeling right when I was at 8 weeks coupled with some red bleeding and was a total wreck until I got an US and everything turned out to be fine. So it could just be where you are in the pregnancy. I hope you're feeling better today.

Hope everyone else is feeling okay. There have been a lot of sad threads on the board, it's hard not to feel anxious. Hope everyone has a great day today.
  • Also thinking of @AL_TwinCities. If I recall well today is a milestone day for you. Praying for the best. Hope your meditation will help :)

  • Hi ladies! Hope everyone is doing well.

I have my second ultrasound today. I had one at 5w6d to check for correct implantation and now we go today to hopefully hear that little heartbeat! I'll be 6w5d so we have a good shot. I'm feeling pretty good about this pregnancy.
  • Thanks ladies, you all help so much, that's why I love this board. I put my deodorant on this morning and the smell made me really queasy, so I'm going to take that as a good sign for now :3 still going to make an appointment for peace of mind. Fingers crossed!
  • @BostonBaby1 and @didi0308 good luck today!

    ***TMI Alert

I've been having a lot of CM, it ranges from sticky to creamy and yesterday was watery.  I've also been noticing that a lot of times when I wipe the TP has a yellow-ish tint.  It's not brown like dried blood, but it's also not clear.  I've been trying to tell myself that its probably just my urine and the excess vitamins changing its color or the CM.  It doesn't smell bad and I'm not having any other issues like itching so I don't think it's an infection.  I just don't like it, I want normal white TP when I wipe!  Other than that my symptoms kind of come and go.  The nausea was my main symptom and the diclegis has really stopped that.  It really sucks that I have 2.5 more weeks for my first appointment.  I hate it.

  • @nkyokley and @BostonBaby1 Wishing you ladies wonderful ultrasounds!!!
  • Good luck @nkyokley and @didi0308

@megstervt That sounds pretty normal to me. Discharge increases in order to prevent infection and I have heard that a slight yellow tinge is not uncommon. You can always ask your provider but I'm pretty sure that you may just need a pantiliner. If you had discomfort or odor I'd be more concerned. I say call in though just to double check.

I go in a couple of hours. Will update after I see the doctors.
  • I had some bleeding this morning and was sure a loss was in my future.  But, upon going in for an unscheduled ultrasound, I was met with good new.  I'm measuring right on track, and we have a good heartbeat.

    Positives vibes for everyone today!

  • @megstervt I have the same thing. Sometimes it's a bright almost neon yellow, sometimes it's just watery. I asked the doctor yesterday and he wasn't worried at all. He said it's mostly caused by hormones. Estrogen really influences CM (well you know that because you were tracking before your BFP) and it still influences during pregnancy.
    Hang in there :)

  • Thanks you guys! You just made me feel a million times better. I'm actually only seeing the yellow tint when I wipe, my CM looks the same as it did previously only just more of it. I know excess vitamin b turns urine neon yellow too. Thanks again!!

@nkyokley yay for a great scan!
