bleeding nipple

I've tried to search around, but most information I have found is related to breastfeeding not pregnancy. 

I am just starting the 3rd trimester and the other day after a bath I noticed that blood is coming out of one of my nipples. I have been having small amounts of colostrum since about 20 weeks but this is clearly blood.  At first I just thought maybe irritation or related to all the changes to the breast but its happened several times over the weekend. 

Has anyone experienced this? I have an appointment later this week but since I can't find any information about it being a pregnancy symptom I am wondering if I should try and go in sooner.

I have not experienced this but that's not normal. It could be a number of things. I would call your doctor and see if you can get an earlier appointment.
