Just entering second trimester - already freaking out about parenting

i know, i know, one step at a time, but does anyone have any favorite books they read?

I love the books by Dr.Sears. I find their advice sensible and confidence-boosting. However, the best way to learn about parenting is by doing it-- I know, not very helpful advice at all, but you seriously learn from your mistakes!!!! Just remember that nothing is permanent, YOU are the boss, and anything you start doing you can stop doing at any time, i.e. co-sleeping, pacifiers. Good luck!

I've found no book can really help you. To be frank, there is no "manual". You learn and your kids learn.

Anything by Dr. Seuss and Beverly Cleary

I have talked to a long line of amazing mothers and fathers who tell me to stay away from The Books at all costs. Works of fiction for/about children were the only books recommended.

It's normal to feel this way now. You'll be absolutely amazed at how instinctive you start feeling in the next few months.

As my mom told me a couple of weeks ago, children don't come with a manual.
