Hi all, just wondered about other Canadians' experience with diclectin. I took it throughout my pregnancy 3 years ago but don't remember my initial response. Anyway, started taking it Friday night (just 1 a night) because the ms was just too much. I'm 10 w 2d. I slept a ridiculous amount on the weekend and felt groggy through most of it- however, yesterday afternoon I felt great (tired but actually HUNGRY!!) and haven't had much ms since. I have very sore boobs still and don't feel like eating a huge diversity of things but with 2 mmc's in my past, I get really paranoid whenever symptoms change. Anyone else taking diclectin? Maybe it's just my ms getting better as I near trimester 2?? (with my daughter I didn't notice any real improvement till 13 weeks). I'm probably just being my usual anxious hormonal self but any reassurance would be welcome.
Re: Diclectin question
It took a few days to a week for them
to take effect and now I can eat!! And drink water without puking it up most of the time
It did make me groggy at first but I got over that.
My midwife also said I could take Gravol if needed - I take 1/4 of a 50mg Gravol on some days if I'm feeling really crappy and just need some peace.
Hope you feel better soon! I'm almost 11 weeks and waiting for turning point.
2 hours after your last meal and then wait 30 minutes to eat afterwards.
I have reoccurring alarms set on my phone to prompt me to take these.
