Insomnia anyone?

I'm 9w5d and I can fall asleep just fine at night or during the day for a quick cat nap but I wake up around 1am or 4am and lay awake forever unable to fall back asleep. This happens most nights but on the rare occasion it does not happen I'll sleep through the night. Anyone else experiencing this??

  • Yep.

If you search "insomnia" via the search function, you'll see a couple of other threads where others discussed this, and some things to try to sleep better.
  • Yup. I would say it drives me crazy, but when I wake up I'm not tired at all. It's weird.

I was an insomniac prior. So it has just continued right on through!

  • Yes! Still every night
  • Yes! I have to take Unisom :( I usually take a 1/2 tab so I am not groggy in the AM. If I don't, I'm up several times a night and can't fall back asleep. I was the same way with DS which made the newborn phase MUCH easier cause I was already used to being up at night. :).

  • Yes oh god yes and it's terrible!!!!!! I thought you're supposed to et a lot of rest when you're pregnant and that is NOT happening!!!!! It's so frustrating but somehow I'm managing to get through the day just fine. Usually if I don't get enough sleep I'm a wreck. So, I figure Mother Nature is training me to function on short nights?
