Flutters?

Has anyone started to experience flutters, or the sensation of feeling the baby??? If so, how far along were you when this started? I'm 10+2 w my 4th baby, but my youngest is 14 so it's kinda like my first pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone else has felt any movement.

Re: Flutters?

  • I felt like I did (12weeks 4days) but I'm guessing it was just gas. I thought the earliest u could feel them was at 16 weeks but I could be wrong ;)

  • I've read that with your second you can feel earlier, like maybe 12 weeks? I'm 12+1 with #2 and sometimes think I might be imagining something but I really don't think I've felt anything yet. Probably just gas. I am really looking forward to it though, one of the best things about pregnancy!
  • At 10 weeks its likely still gas, the baby simply isn't strong enough to cause a sensation that you can feel yet. Usually you can't feel movement until 15 or so weeks, if you were at 14 I would say possibly, you could just have a strong little bugger, but so much happens between 10 weeks and 15 weeks that I just don't think it's possible. I'm 10 weeks as well and swore I felt the baby do a flip the other day but I know it was most likely just gas.
  • I've been feeling flutters occasionally. I swear it's the baby. Gas just doesn't feel like for me. Maybe it's the uterus expanding or moving?
  • With my last three I felt them all around 14 weeks.

Oh yeah! I started feeling them at 10+. This is my fourth pregnancy. There's a difference between feeling movement and feeling flutters. Flutters as early as 10 weeks are legit.

  • I think I am... (I'm 13 weeks) The funny thing is... You DO feel them earlier than you FEEL them. Like- you second guess yourself for a week or two before you get one that's like--- "Ohhh yeah- that was definitely it". So you Prob are feeling it but you'll REALLY know in the next few weeks.
  • I have felt flutters. I am 13w1d.

  • I'm 11 weeks with #3 and I swear to bob I've felt flutters. But then I think I must be crazy and it's something else.

  • I'm 11 weeks. I felt a flutter today. It was enough to catch me off guard. I ignored the flutters when I had my son. I felt these flutters for 2 weeks before tiny kicks. I chalked it up to being a ftm and just not knowing. But I definitely felt it once today. Must have been how I was laying.
  • I'm 12 and four I've been feeling movement for a few days. This is number two for me so I noticed it sooner.
  • Def. felt them a couple days ago! I'm 13 weeks and I was sitting leaned over and the waist of my jeans was pulled close to me. I was feeling it for a minute then realized what I was feeling!!! Exciting stuff!!

Thank you!!! I keep feeling it and it's the same feeling over & over. I don't feel like it's gas, I know what that feels like. This is my 4th pregnancy as well. Right now I am 10+5.
  • I'm 10+5 too! I'm a FTM so I have no clue what, if any thing, I am feeling. Just glad to be pregnant and excited for the next couple of weeks when I do start feeling things.
  • Depending on the position I am sitting in I can for sure feel flutters! I wasn't sure if that is what I was feeling, then we had an ultrasound and I could see that what I was feeling was baby moving. This little one is WILD in there! Moving around so much they had trouble getting the measurements they needed. That was at 10 weeks. 12 weeks now. Every body is different. Some are more sensitive than others.
  • I'm 13+5 and have been feeling tiny movements for about a week. I felt my first legit one tonight! After an awful MC last year, I'm so thankful!
  • I'm 12 weeks and for the last week or so I've felt the "popcorn" effect. Gas usually rumbles this is more of a quick pop like popcorn lol. My last baby is 10 will be 11 in february so it's been a long time and I do forget too.
  • Well, since I was 10w  when I first started feeling tingles below my belly button. Now I'm 12 weeks and they're stronger and usually happen when I'm laying down (just like on my ultrasound lol). Even as I'm typing I can feel a little flutter.  I know it's not gas because when I got gas it hurtttts! Like bad! Idk why.

I was, until about 4 days ago. So maybe it was just gas after all.

  • I'm a FTM and 13+5. No idea what to look out for, but I'm almost positive I haven't felt anything yet!
  • I take mine back. Just felt it again, and it was definitely baby!

  • Does anyone feel the flutters more to one side then the other. I know baby is more to the left because that's where I find it on the dopper and I always feel the flutters there.
  • WebMD says that women can feel them as early as 13 weeks in repeat pregnancies. But I believe I felt baby at 11 1/2 weeks. I was poking my uterus to see how much fat I had to push though to get to my uterus, and I felt baby "push" away/ respond to the pressure of my poke.
  • Today I was walking around and feeling a teeny bit jelly of you flutters ladies. I've got nothing so far. Absolutely zip zilch nada, which is normal (FTM at 11+5). My placenta isn't in front so luckily that won't delay.

I can tell baby is moving though when I listen with the Doppler and have to chase the LO around :) just a few more weeks!! Congrats on all the flutters!!!!
  • @HBamama2B. I have had absolutely zip also at 11 plus 3. Just sitting on my (now very) big fat bum waiting patiently....lol. So exciting for the ladies a few weeks ahead!
